12v sensor is reporting only 7.782v, regardless of PSU (Asus CM6870)

The 12v sensor is reporting only 7.782v, regardless of which of two PSU's are being used, so can I assume there is a problem on the mobo?.... or is this maybe just a problem of the voltage sensor? How and where is this voltage actually measured? This issue only seems to be related to this one mobo, that happens to be a new ASUS-PC "Asus Essentio CM6870", that is using the i7-3770 CPU and the H77 and Ivy Bridge chip sets. Does anyone else see this same issue on some board(s)?

I did the 'update' download of the beta version you suggested, but it did not change the 12v readout value to a 'correct' value. I could not find any instructions on how to 'install' the beta package, so I just unzipped it, and then 'opened' the aida64.exe file that I found in the extracted files. Then I restarted the computer again. Is that the appropriate method to apply the beta? Is there a 'sticky note' somewhere with the instructions on this? Is there any way to confirm that I have indeed executed (run) the beta version, rather than the original release version? The About page does not specify this, right? Sorry about all the newbie questions :>))

Upgrading to a new beta release usually works like this:

1) Download the ZIP package

2) Close AIDA64 if it is running

3 Extract the ZIP package into the existing installation folder of AIDA64. Let it overwrite any existing files. Your settings in the AIDA64.INI file and your entered license key will be retained.

4) Restart Windows to finalize the upgrade

In case with the new beta it still doesn't work right, then please right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> ISA Sensor Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic.

Thanks, but the first line of the dump indicates that you haven't upgraded to the latest AIDA64 beta. Please try to do that, and make sure when you start AIDA64, near the top-left corner it reads "AIDA64 v2.30.1950 Beta".

Ah...oops.... I now see that the unzipping did not occur into the existing program folder, and I do not yet have control over that using the default windows zip s/w.... I will get back later with you after I install on this machine the zip s/w that I am used to using,.... and then redo the beta install. Sorry about that....

ok... just noticed that there was a new version available for download...which I executed.... and now the 12v reporting issue is 'fixed'.
