I am having a little trouble setting up my smpt settings for gmail. Under preferances i have selected SMTP Displayname user e-mail User@gmail.com Server: smtp.gmail.com SMPT Port:587 User SMPT Authentication User@gmail.com PasswordI I get this error when i press test Alter Message cannot be sent 5.7.9 Must Issue a Starttls command first pk9sm11256925pbb.4 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Fiery Posted August 26, 2012 Share Posted August 26, 2012 Are you using AIDA64 v2.60? Previous versions didn't support Gmail SMTP. Also make sure to double-check if there's a typo or needless space character in the server address. AIDA64 will only use STARTTLS command if the server name equals to smtp.gmail.com If everything is fine, then please try to enter your username and password again.
