MThe GPU reports 96°C and the GPU Memory reports 88°C, but the GPU fan reports only 47%.

Do these figures make real world sense?

Motherboard: MSI X58 Pro-E

CPU: QuadCore Intel Core i7-930, 2800 MHz

Physical Memory: 12279 MB DDR3

GPU: PCI Express 2.0 x16: EVGA e-GeForce 8800 GT 256MB GDDR3

DirectX Hardware Support: DirectX v10

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) Service Pack 1

That sounds quite hot indeed. You need to improve the cooling of your video card, and/or improve the ventilation of your system case.

I was wondering if the onboard frimware was reading a different temp since it only takes the fan to 47%?

Edit: Just checked with another program and it yields the same results.... sorry to have bothered.

You may want to update the firmware of your video card and/or use manual fan controlling for the video card fan ;)
