So if you buy a Barrowch FBEHD-01 display, they give you the sensor panel files that they show in their advertising? I wanted to get one of these displays but could not find them in stock in the US for a reasonable price. Then I found a FormulaMod clone that was a few dollars cheaper and available on Amazon so I bought that one instead. I really like some of the layouts shown on the Barrowch site, but they never really say how or where to get the files. It just says "Officials will continue to release a variety of interfaces based on ASISA64 system monitoring software". So if I had bought the Barrowch panel, I would have gotten access to all of the panels they show? Is there any way to get these panel files if you did not buy a Barrowch display?

Wow. That is beautiful. You clearly are really good at this and put a lot of work into this panel. It gives me an idea of what can be done with this platform. I am new to these AIDA sensor panels. My latest rig has a 1024x600 display that I am driving with Aqausuite. Then I bought a Formulamod clone of the Barrowch 1920 x480 display. Aquasuite is a great program, but their custom panel section is pretty limited and I could not get something that looked good on this oddball resolution display. That, and Barrowch's FBEHD-01 display page led me to this forum. I downloaded a bunch of different panels that people posted, then started to look into what is involved with building one from scratch. Depending on how fancy you get, it can be quite an undertaking. I really did not think about these panels being proprietary or artistic property. Then I started reading these posts from people who built and posted really nice panels that others promptly downloaded and used for their own purposes. If you post the files, you should expect that people will download them. Then someone saw his custom panels in a Youtube review of an internal display. He was pissed that the guy made a video for profit based on his work. That is understandable. Now I realize that while some people are fine with sharing their panels, others are not, or feel that they should at least get a Thank You and due credit, and that it is not OK to use their work without permission, especially for profit. Didn't mean to ramble, but that is my take on it. Its a shame to see this forum degrade into accusations and name calling. I am grateful to those who post their panels, as they provide ideas and a basis to develop my own. If a person wants to show off their work but not share the files, that is their right. They should not be admonished if they don't want to give away something that they spent hours or days building. In the end, they are just sensor panels that no one really needs. They are eye candy for enthusiasts. So can we all just try to get along and learn from each other while respecting the wishes of other forum members? My 2 cents.

I am learning about how to build and use custom Sensor Panels in AIDA64. This may be a very basic question, but I don't understand the difference between a "Sensor Panel" and an "LCD" in the Preferences menu. I Googled some of the supported LCD's and think the difference is the LCD panels connect via USB only. They do not have a video input. Is this correct? I have 2 internal LCD screens in my latest build. One is an Ingcool 7" display that is 1080x600. The other is a FormulaMod clone of a Barrowch FBEHD-01 which is 1920x400. Both are video displays that require an HDMI video signal. I have built custom panel layouts in Aquasuite for both of these but want to try it in AIDA64. For the 1920x400 panel, I downloaded some sensor panel files that are 1920x400 from this forum and imported them into Sensor Panel. I can edit, resize, and move the sensor panel around OK. I can connect the display to my GPU via HDMI and position the Sensor Panel so it appears on this display. So far so good. When I click on Preferences - LCD I see a bunch of tabs appear for all the various LCD's that AIDA supports (so far). Neither of my LCD panels are listed. I suspect they are not listed because they are video displays and require an HDMI video signal to function, whereas the devices listed in the LCD tabs do not have a video input. The interface is USB. So if I want to have an LCD in AIDA, I need to use one of the listed devices or send a USB dump and request that support be added. If I get a supported LCD, can I have the Sensor Panel display on a display connected via HDMI while having a totally different USB based LCD with a completely different layout? Is this correct? Thanks!

I am searching for the same exact thing so please post back here if you find one and I will do the same. I already have an Ingcool 1024x600 internal display. For that one I am using a Pluggable USB2.0 to DVI adapter with a DVI to HDMI passive adapter. Kind of messy but it works. The Pluggable spec does not list 1024x600 but its doing it. I tried a Startech USB2.0 to HDMI adapter but it would not do 1024x600. Now I bought a Formulamod clone of the Barrowch FBEHD-01 display (1920x480). I tried a J5 Create JUA250 USB2.0 to HDMI adapter but it would not do 1920x480. My main GPU (Asus TUF 3080OC) will do it but I want to keep the wiring internal to the case and not use a main GPU output. These adapters are a crap shoot in terms of whether they will do non-standard resolutions. Very few list all resolutions they will do. In the case of the Pluggable, its one of the few that (supposedly) lists all supported resolutions, but mine is doing 1024x600 which is not listed, so who knows. I have not tried connecting the Pluggable to the 1920x480 display but I will. If it works, I will post back here.

I just bought the FormulaMod version of the Barrow FBEHD-01. Barrow's site says all these great premade templates are available at AIDA. Is there a repository of these templates for this 1920x480 display or do I need to dig through the forum and look for individual posts? If there is a repository where is it? Thanks.

It seems that Asus did remove VRM temps from the BIOS, at least for the Maximus X Hero Wifi. But I don't see it in AIDA either. I am guessing that the MOBO Feklar received has the (older?) VRM component that does report a VRM temperature. Odd since he just received it. Maybe the non-wifi version still has the old component, or maybe the MOBO he received is from older stock, or maybe current stocks have some of each version. Without comment from Asus, there is really no way to tell. I thought about looking for a REV# on my MOBO, but for that to be meaningful, I would have to get other people to do this, and then post their REV#s and if they get a VRM temp reported or not. It may be possible to figure out which REV reports VRM temp and which do not, but I probably won't bother, as I think this is a dead issue. My Maximus X Hero Wifi does not report a VRM temp so I placed (crammed) 2 thermal probes up inside the heat sink, so they are resting against one of the cans. One sensor is plugged into the MOBO Temp_2 header. The other one is connected to a Corsair Commander Pro. They both report reasonable temps and agree within 1 degree C, which is encouraging, though there really is no way to determine if they are accurate. Despite several invitations to comment on the matter, the Asus representative that frequents the ROG and OC.net forums has (so far) refused to acknowledge the issue or offer any insight. In the meantime, the Asus web page for the Maximus X Hero Wifi continues to show a little thermometer on the VRM section, suggesting, but not stating outright, that VRM temp is reported. This irritates me, though not enough to RMA the board. A replacement would probably not have the sensor if this is a result of a component substitution, and it's just not worth the hassle. For X299 - yes, but for Z370 VRM temps are really not a huge concern. YMMV...

I was advised elsewhere that Asus changed a component (VRM PWM Chip) and the alternate does not report VRM temp. One person that I know of posted that HWiNFO would report it, in EC section, though it was not in BIOS. Perhaps Asus was aware that the alternate VRM PWM chip did not report the temp, so they removed it from later BIOS releases. The person who can see it in HWiNFO but not the BIOS must have a MOBO with the original PWM chip and a later BIOS. Just a theory. Asus reps have been mum on the subject. Thanks again.

Did the VRM Sensor issue on the Asus Maximus Hero (and Hero wifi) ever get resolved? There is a guy on OC.net that claims HWiNFO is showing a VRM sensor value but he sees nothing in the BIOS (which I believe but don't understand). Someone on the ROG board claims the VRM sensor is there on the HERO and a corrupt BIOS flash may cause it to not appear in the BIOS. He re-flashed and it appeared. I have tried that and everything else I can think of and cannot see a VRM sensor in the BIOS, in HWiNFO, AIDA64, or SIV. I Googled reviews and found 5 of them that included BIOS screen shots of the Monitor screen. None of them show a VRM Sensor (and none of the reviews mentioned it's absence). SIV shows a register but it has 0's in it. The VRM Sensor should show up in the EC bus, which I believe AIDA does not monitor due to system stability concerns. HWiNFO has the option, and when enabled, several values show up but no VRM Sensor. Asus has been silent on the matter. Does anyone know if the VRM Sensor exists on the Maximus X Hero and Hero wifi? Thanks!
