I did notice the same listings in previous AIDA versions - decided it was time to ask. Thanks.

Program is compatible with XP, Vista, and Win7. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30424 The introduction states: The Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit (EMET) is designed to help prevent hackers from gaining access to your system. Checking the latest AIDA64 at Security > Windows Security there is no mention made of this program. Recommend you download and check this program to see if it should be listed.

  11. Upgraded to AMD/ATI 11-9 drivers yesterday; also downloaded AIDA 1.85.1641 and had no problems with Display > OpenGL displaying items in XP Pro w/SP3 - have yet to check XP Pro x64 w/SP2 and Win7 Ultimate x64 w/SP1. Next day - booted into XP Pro x64 and Win7 Ultimate - Display > OpenGL had information listed.
  12. AIDA 1.85.1604 > Display > OpenGL displayed information as expected in XP Pro and Win7 Ultimate - fix works (for now, I guess, until Catalyst 11.9 comes out).
  13. AIDA64 v1.85.1600 Display > OpenGL > when selected the right pane goes grey - nothing listed OpenGL Extensions Viewer Version 4.00 (Build 61.0.0.0) from www.realtech-vr.com/glview/ lists OpenGL Version: 3.3 and Driver version: 6.14.10.11005 Catalyst 8.881 28-Jul-11 and Renderer: ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series (I have two - Crossfire is selected). If more information is required or something else I can do - please let me know. Above was when I booted into XP Pro w/SP3 - Same indication from AIDA and Open GL Extensions Viewer when I booted into Win7 Ultimate 64-bit w/SP1.

  18. OK - that information is an answer. I'm assuming that somewhere down the line a real 64-bit version will be available. In the meantime I have another question: I have a 1Tb drive divided into four pieces on one hardware system; #1 = XP pro w/SP3, #2 = XP Pro x64 w/SP2, #3 = Win7 32-bit, and #4 = Win7 64-bit. As I did with Everest in the past, I installed AIDA64 in XP Pro w/SP3 and used a shorcut to it from the other three operating sytems. AIDA64 starts and runs just fine from from any one of the operating systems. My question is: does this method provide the best option to running and testi
  19. I downloaded the executable and installed it in XP Pro w/SP3 and everything checked out just fine. When I booted into XP Pro x64 w/SP2 and ran the executable I expected it to opt to install in \Program Files rather than \Program Files (x86). I bring this up because it is my understanding 32-bit programs, when installed from within the 64-bit OS, go to \Program Files (x86) and 64-bit programs go to \Program Files. So, given that the name is AIDA64 is it really a 64-bit program or just named that to confuse everyone? Or am I missing something in how 32-bit and/or 64-bit programs are installed
