When you say "render mode", what exactly are you looking for?  Screen resolution and bit depth perhaps?

like dx9, dx10, dx10.1, dx11, dx11.1, ogl, etc 

 

just the dx version in use of the current 3d app.

 

a lot of games have multiple modes, it would be nice to see if you are in the expected mode.

Do you know a software that can display that info?  I'm not entirely sure it can be detected, at least for Direct3D...

We've checked it, and it would require D3D hooking, which is also required for full-screen OSD and FPS measurement BTW.  We currently have no plans to deal with D3D hooking I'm afraid :(
