pezcore350 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Hello everyone. I am just posting to share the Sonic The Hedgehog themed sensor panel I made to go with the PC I recently built. Vertical 480 x 1920 is a challenging resolution as there's not much available so I had to make everything. I appreciate all the ideas here, it helped me some up with something I am proud to show off! 4 Quote
FrankieSeZ Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Hi, Just created my first sensor panel and for as basic as it is it took all day to make lol. Mind you I downloaded Aida yesterday and spent all day today making this so learning how to use the application had everything to do with how long it took of course. It's really just themed for the components in my rig for an 800x1280 resolution. I was absolutely blown away by some of the ones I have seen here by the more experienced and more creative users but maybe one day 1 Quote

I like it, good work and arrangement. Some things i would change, give Sonic black eyes and maybe add a black outline of the shape, so it matches the Sonic Logo with outlines. I edited the eyes. The Sonic design I did not make, they’re part of a minimalist series where none of the characters have eyes- but thank you for the suggestion! Quote

OneRound Posted February 1 Posted February 1 (edited) Been working on some ideas, one being stacked gauges, the other is using two "sweeps" inside a gauge. The top gauge face shows what it would look like with each gauge at the max limit. Can't decide if I like this look or not. I'm still learning graphics design and this is a slow process for me. So, soliciting thoughts before I keep at this one. Couldn't make the one above work for me, so I went a somewhat different direction Edited February 2 by OneRound updated info about a sensor panel 6 Quote
FrankieSeZ Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I downloaded a background someone posted here that I loved and worked from that. Second one Ive ever made, better than the first one lol. Thank you to Onra for the background he uploaded. I edited the background a bit and reused the gauges. Theme is just the components of my rig 1 Quote

Put a black circle in the middle on top of the gauge. Add the sensor text. And add a transparent glass layer on top and the sensor text. Here is the glass layer, if you want to use it. You can use them both for free. Edited February 3 by Exhumed 3 1 Quote

Q: I import a sensorpanel and its changes the size and re-arranged objects Q: How to avoid scaling problems with sensor panels? A: Two things usually cause that You do not have the proper font installed. (The default font is loaded instead) You do not have Windows scaling set to 100% A: When creating a sensor panel, make sure that you set the scaling in Windows to 100% and that the resolution in Aida64 is correct. The manually set sensor panel dimensions are saved directly in the sensor panel file and are automatically applied when loading for the first time. Q: How to check the panel size? Right click on "Aida64" Task bar Icon > Settings > SensorPanel > SensorPanel Size Scaling issues? (Windows) Fix: Try setting "DPI compatibility mode" for aida64.exe It's a Windows compatibility setting that you apply on the EXE itself. Locate AIDA64.EXE (C:\Program Files (x86)\FinalWire\AIDA64 Extreme) aida64.exe > properties > compatibility > change high DPI settings > activate "Override high DPI Scaling behavior" to System. Scaling performed by: 'System' (from the drop down) > Ok/Apply > Restart Windows > Load/import panel and check if it works now. Once you've done this, make sure that your SensorPanel properties are set to match the new panel before importing and you have a better chance of being successful. Troubleshooting not working? Users who have this scaling problem and cannot resolve the error with the known "fixes" unfortunately have to manually re-align each individual object. Quote

Tried messaging the author to buy the assets and he wouldn't respond so I traced them out. Will have an AI file and panel available for download soon as well as instructions on how to create your own segmented gradient gauge pinwheel. This particular one is setup for a 1920x480 screen. Unfortunately, the uploaded image quality suffers. It looks a lot better natively. can you share this? Quote

I also took advantage of making a version in 1280x400 format...I hope you like it like the original format. Regards 1920x480 1280x400 1 Quote
