i73770kGTX760
Hi I'm hoping someone could shed some light on why my i7 3770k @ 4.5 is only scoring 12,024 on the CPU AES test. All other tests are way above a stock clocked i7 3770k which fall in line with the high overclock. I have tried everything I can't put my finger on what's causing it. Any suggestions are very appreciated.
Fiery
1) What version of AIDA64 are you using? 2) Are you sure your CPU isn't throttling (slowing itself down) while running the benchmarks, due to overheating?
i73770kGTX760
I'm using version 3.00.2500. I am getting under 10000 stock settings and only 12024 overclocked to 4.5. It's just kinda weird that all the other scores are right where I expect them to be in every memory test, queen, vp8 they all are top notch. Just AES test is not showing the right score. i73770kGTX760
I just did a bios reset and using the Auto Turbo 4.0 setting and my memory overclocked from 1600 to 2000. Here is the scores I got Memory Read = 29728 Memory Write = 30505 Memory Copy = 27801 Memory Latency = 55.4 Queen = 50505 Photoworxx = 16198 Zlib = 344.5 AES = 10717 Hash = 2999 Vp8 = 6385 Julia = 21091 Manedel = 11180 SinJulia = 5382 Temps on cores were as follows 70/66/67/67 I'm using a Coolermaster 212 + even on the most demanding benchmarks I've never seen Temps go over 85 when overclocked to 4.5. I really appreciate any help it's not a huge problem just looked funny seeing it so low when the chip runs flawless otherwise. Thanks for all your help and guidance. Fiery
Quite frankly, we've never seen such anomaly. All benchmark scores seem to be in line with the expected performance from an oveclocked 3770K, except for the AES score. If possible, please right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> CPU Debug --> CPUID & MSR Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic. That data will hopefully reveal something about your CPU that could explain the AES anomaly.

Fiery
Thank you for the data. I'm afraid we haven't found anything unusual in it. Can you please try running the benchmarks using AIDA64 v3.20 (latest version) at both stock (default) clock speeds, and also at overclocked speed, and post both results? jbax
Hey guys, I was having the same issue with low benchmark scores. for me disabling intel virtualization technology in the bios increased my results from 13500MB/s to 19500MB/s. this is on MSI Z87-G45 and i7 4770k @4.2GHz. thought it was strange myself but I can reproduce the results by enabling/disabling virtualization in bios. jbax
1) Which exact option in the BIOS Setup did you alter? Intel Virtualization technology feature, set to disabled. was enabled by default and since I don't plan to run VM ware I disabled it. 2) Do you mean the CPU AES scores? Yes after many hours overclocking AES scores where always lower than Intel core i7 2600k, after I disabled Intel virtualization Technology in bios the scores increased. 3) Did you use AIDA64 v3.20.2600? Yes. 4) What version of BIOS do you have for your motherboard? Many versions over the last month v1.20, v1.30, v1.40, v1.50, and currently v1.61 beta. My CPU @ 4.2GHz with intel virtualization enabled AES scores where 13500 MB/s, with intel virtualization disabled the AES scores are 19000+ MB/s
icedogg
Bringing this old thread from the grave, but it did resolve my issue 5 years laters, on an overclocked i7- 8700K and very LOW CPU AES. The tests would result in 21000MB/s, with Intel Virtualization Technology enabled. Once that was disabled in BIOS, test results jumped 33000MB/s. Thank you! ivanch88
Same problem. Aida64 Cache&Memory Benchmark shows low results for ram, l2 and l3 caches. This happens for overclocked CPU with virtualization enabled. For non-overclocked CPU everything is ok. I7 8700k + msi z370 gaming pro carbon, last bios AB. Aida64 v6.25.5400

This happens for overclocked CPU with virtualization enabled. For non-overclocked CPU everything is ok. I7 8700k + msi z370 gaming pro carbon, last bios AB. Aida64 v6.25.5400 Please post a screenshot of the Cache & Memory Benchmark panel of AIDA64 so we can check all scores. Also make sure to use the latest AIDA64 version of 6.30.5500. After disabling virtualization in Bios, everything starts work how it should and OC result is better then stock. So the problem in Virtualization technology (or judging other topics maybe the problem is in Windows sandbox feature since it uses Virtualization, but I already disabled Virtualization in Bios and don't want to restart PC just for checking this theory). That indeed looks quite weird. But, in case it works without virtualization, our conclusion is that the anomaly is caused by virtualization and not due to an issue about our benchmarks.
