int0x13
Hello, I'm running aida64 and i see this into motherboard, chipset for my P5K Premium: DDR2-667, DDR2-800, DDR3-800, DDR3-1066, DDR3-1333 SDRAM It states DDR3, But my mb is a DDR2 slot only, what does this mean? Does it mean that the chipset can handle DDR3 logically, but not physically? Into motherboard section i got this: CPU Sockets/Slots 1 LGA775Expansion Slots 3 PCI, 2 PCI-E x1, 2 PCI-E x16RAM Slots 4 DDR2 DIMMIntegrated Devices Audio, Dual Gigabit LAN, IEEE-1394Form Factor ATXMotherboard Size 240 mm x 300 mmMotherboard Chipset P35Extra Features Asus Intelligence, JumperFree, Q-Fan 2, Stepless Freq Selection, SATA-II, RAID
Fiery
Does it mean that the chipset can handle DDR3 logically, but not physically? Exactly The chipset page shows the capabilities of the chipset. It depends on the actual motherboard installation whether you've got DDR2 slots, DDR3 slots, or both.
