Zeke009 Posted September 9 Posted September 9 (edited) Updated to 8.0 9/16: ORIGINAL POST: I just unpacked a fresh "install" of AIDA64 and moved it to another drive after my last install stopped showing any options for my LCD. When trying to enable the LCD, I got this error. I have previously submitted a support request with this and many other errors. AIDA64 has been stable on this machine for the last few years until recently, no hardware changes have been made. Edited Tuesday at 09:54 PM by Zeke009 Updated title & added link to new reply. Quote
Zeke009 Posted September 10 Author Posted September 10 (edited) Some additional errors I've received since my post. Nothing was done with the machine, I walked away and came back to these errors. This is from a filter I made in Event Viewer. Edited September 10 by Zeke009 Added Event Viewer screenshot. Quote
Zeke009 Posted September 11 Author Posted September 11 Today I had an "Out of Memory" error. I noticed it when I saw that my BedaPanel wasn't displaying anything. Quote
Zeke009 Posted Tuesday at 09:52 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 09:52 PM Updated to AIDA64 8.00.8000 and I am unable to open Preferences at all; the app locks up each time. I've used /SAFE and /SAFEST to no avail. At times the app would get stuck on "Scanning SMART Devices" and I saw that my Intel RST was a little behind what Intel had posted as the final driver for 11th Gen Intel. Upgraded from 18.6.1.1016 to 18.7.6.1010.3. The app loads now, but the inability to open Preferences continues. Quote

If you cannot open the AIDA64 Preferences, then please try to edit the file called AIDA64.INI in the AIDA64 installation folder: scan for HWMonEnableBeLCD=1 And update the line to: HWMonEnableBeLCD=0 Let us know if the experienced issues persist that way too. Zeke009 Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago I set HWMonEnableBeLCD to 0 and it gets hung up on Scanning SMART Devices. I tried both regular launching and /SAFE. I even renamed the ini file in case I had something bad in there, still stuck at Scanning SMART Devices. I have run SMART tests on all drives, and they pass. I even ran a few passes of MemTest+ this weekend and that passed as well. I also removed an unused Thunderbolt card from this machine just in case that was causing problems. So far, I cannot get AIDA64 to run on this machine (home server) anymore. Meanwhile, my daily driver is working just fine, and AIDA64 + my sensor panel never fails me. Quote

Please let us know a bit more about the storage subsystem of this computer. Mainly about what SATA, NVMe and RAID controllers do you have in your system, and whether you've got any RAID arrays defined. Quote

No RAID cards or controllers, but I am using a drive pool. Drives: Boot is a WD Blue NVMe 500 GB 4 drives are pooled using StableBit (v2.3.13.1687) WD Red 1TB SSD WD Red 10TB HDD WD Red 14TB HDD x2 Extra drive is a WD Blue 1TB SSD StableBit has been used on this server since it was built a few years ago, AIDA64 has been riding alongside it all along.
