1.60 final and virustotal

Recommended Posts

Today I was doing some standard audits of archive files on my external storage. My downloads of the new 1.60 final (extreme and business) were showing a flag on virus total. So I decided to re-download the files in my VM and send them off to be scanned. Both came back with the same result: eSafe says that both releases have Virus in password protected archive. I understand that this is a false positive, but was curious as to which file is password protected, and why eSafe would think a virus is lurking in there somewhere.

Here is the results for the extreme.zip:

AIDA64 has no password protected archive. It's a false report, it doesn't have any viruses or other malware.
