Fiery
Haswell-E/EN/EP/EX processors feature two quad-channel memory controllers (IMC), but on Haswell-E only the first one is utilized. Server parts (Haswell-EP for example) may have both controllers utilized, so you can use a total of eight DDR4 memory channels per CPU socket. As for the DIMM module size issue, we're aware of that, but it seems a bit complicated. The chipset (IMC) itself reports that memory module size, and so far we haven't found a proper way to come up with a workaround for that. We'll keep trying Till then, you can use the Motherboard / SPD page to check the full and accurate details on your installed memory modules. Regards, Fiery
