xsever Posted June 27, 2011 Share Posted June 27, 2011 Hey everyone, Simple problem. AIDA64 reports the GPU's core speed but not the GPU's memory speed. I am using an ATI HD5770 discrete graphics card and the card changes memory speeds as it goes between 2D and 3D modes. I am interested in monitoring the change in memory speeds. GPU-Z, MSI Afterburner, and Sapphire TRIXX can read the memory speed sensor so that should be a piece of cake for you guys. Please let me know if you need any reports/logs. xsever Posted June 29, 2011 Author Share Posted June 29, 2011 Here is another thing I found. The GPU temperature items listed in the OSD Panel are: DispIO, MemIO, and Shader. None of these sensors are the actual temperature of the GPU itself as reported by GPU-Z, MSI Afterburner, and Sapphire TRIXX. Can anything be done pertaining to this matter? The relationship is actually GPU Temperature = +1 or +2 GPU Temp #1. It is basically not the same thing and that is what I am trying to say. Fiery Posted June 30, 2011 Share Posted June 30, 2011 We've done a test run on a HD5770 card, and on our HD5770 card GPU-Z didn't measure a "GPU Temperature", but only the 3 other GPU temperatures. Please do the following: 1) Post a screen shot that shows the AIDA64 Computer / Sensor page right next to the GPU-Z v0.5.4 Sensors tab. Using that screen shot we can directly compare the measured values. 2) Right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Video Debug --> ATI GPU Registers. Copy-paste the full results into this topic. 3) Right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Video Debug --> ATI SMBus Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic. Make sure to use the latest beta version of AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at: http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild1462zqf1bnw9axzip After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade. If you try to put some stress (load) on your video card, you'll see that those 2 temperatures will rise and fall together. The only difference between the 2 temperature readings is the resolution: in GPU-Z the "GPU Temperature" readout has a 1 Celsius resolution, while the other 3 temperatures have a 0.5 Celsius resolution. No, it's not possible with the OSD Panel. If you need more flexible items configuration, you may want to check the new SensorPanel feature (AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Hardware Monitoring / SensorPanel). It depends on how many items do you put on the SensorPanel. But on modern multicore processors the CPU% hit of the SensorPanel rendering module is negligible.
