vbishurov Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 Hi, I have both these sensor to use in the SensorPanel. They seem to show a difference of 5 - 7 degrees with PCH Diode being the lower one. I know they're both about the Chipset but I don't know what's the difference so I can decide which one to use. Can anyone, please explain the difference? Thank you! Quote

While "PCH Diode" is measured using the internal registers of the PCH, and it should represent the most accurate thermal measurement for the PCH. Quote

Is the source of this information published by Gigabyte, and is it available for general consumption, or is it proprietary to FinalWire? If it is generally available, I would love to get my hands on a copy. -zc- Quote

h4rp00n33r Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Okay, I've got an Gigabyte X570 Aorus an I'm experiencing the same issue. The BIOS reads the lower value (named Chipset in AIDA) to control the PCH fan. But which one is the correct value? Quote
