Gigabyte G1.Assassin 2 sensor information

Hello, I have a question regarding sensor information for the Gigabyte G1 Assassin 2 Mainboard. In the BIOS I can read the temps of the PCH, the CPU, the system,... also the voltages of PCH, VTT, RAM,... With AIDA 64 I can only read the voltage of the CPU core and I am not sure if the voltage reading is correct, because CPU-Z 1.59 reads another voltage for the CPU (e.g. AIDA measures 1.3 Volts with EIST activated and 1.2 GHz but CPU-Z measures 0.9 Volts at the same time).

Also the PCH and system temps are not recognized by AIDA 64 (latest beta 2.00.1740), only the CPU temps (CPU package and CPU cores) can be measured with AIDA 64.

Also the fan speeds of the attached case fans and CPU fan are not measured with AIDA 64 but are readable in the BIOS (BIOS version F5)

1) Please copy-paste the full content of the Computer / Sensor page of AIDA64 into this topic.

2) Then right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> ISA Sensor Dump. Copy-paste the results into this topic.

3) Then right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> SMBus Dump (Full). Copy-paste the results into this topic.

Based on those data we can investigate this issue and implement the missing sensor values ;)

Thank you for the data. It looks like a tough one though (to figure out the voltage registers and voltage ratios), so if it's possible, please provide us with more data. Please go the BIOS Setup and note down all values you can see on the M.I.T.\PC Health Status page, all temperatures, voltages and fan speeds measured there. Or, alternatively, you can also make a photo of that page, if it's easier for you.

In case your voltage settings have changed since you made the dumps above, then please create a new ISA Sensor Dump to make sure the BIOS Setup PC Health Status values match the dump.

After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade.

Let me know how it works. There's a slim chance the CPU Vcore and CPU VTT voltages are reversed. Please watch them both, and let us know if we need to swap them. CPU VTT should be very stable, while the CPU Vcore readings should fluctuate according to SpeedStep and C1E state changes.

Hello, I've noticed only one problem, the CPU voltage and CPU VTT voltage are fixed at CPU-Voltage 1.10 Volts and VTT-Voltage at 1.07 Volts.

Edit: it seems that ALL voltages are fixed at their values, but I am not sure of it. CPU voltage should change between loading and idle and that doesn't happen.

Hello and merry Christmas! :-)

There's one little thing I have noticed, according to readings from Gigabyte's Easytune 6, AIDA64 CPU temp is the Motherboard 1 temp, the South Bridge temp is the CPU temp and the Motherboard 1 temp is the South Bridge temp.

I have noticed this, as I tested the CPU with LinX and in this moment the core and South bridge temps raised, but the CPU and the Motherboard 1 stayed nearly at the same temps. Then I compared the temps from Easytune6 with them from AIDA64.

Also one reading is not exactly clear for me, the temp of the CPU package and the temp of the 3rd core are always the same. So the 3rd core's temp is always a few degrees higher than the other core temps.

I think the failure is on the motherboards site, at the moment I have changed the names of the values on AIDA64's OSD.

As for the CPU Package vs. Core#3 temperature, they are measured very differently, but they are both provided by the CPU itself using its on-die temperature diodes. So the explanation of the matching lies deep in your CPU ;) Probably Intel simply uses the Core#3 temperature reading to report CPU Package temperature.
