ASUS ROG Strix X299-E Gaming II - Sensors are duplicating items or missing them

Hi Aida64 peoples,

New user and just bought the newest version last night to finally set up an in-case small monitor screen, but no the issue - as the tittle says, things are missing.

I need to check my Voltage Rails (umongst other things of course) because I feel that sine the lasted BIOS update for this board my readings are incorrect, including in BIOS.

But regardless, i need to monitor my +3.3 +5 +12 (not so much +3.3vsb or +5vsb, as their secondary to their counterparts in this case) to see what my components are affecting -  and i have a custom built DIY super tower with multiple waterpumps, radiators, fans etc, and i also use ProTools heavily and have many USB devices i require to be running 90% of the time and at the same time....So ive bought AID64 after wathing JayzTwoCents recent video on case monitors and went year ill do that too !

But I digress, the normal +3.3 is missing, and many of the plethora of storage devices are duplicated, as half of them are HotSwap bays also, and I use many M.2 NVMe SSDs in both on-board mobo installation, and an ASUS Hyper Gen 4 PCIe x4 card in the secondary x16, as well as run the OS from an x4 PCIe card in the 4 lane PCIe - i dont use the 3rd PCIe x16 for obvious limitation reasons.

Is there something within OSD Items or Stability (of which im wondering how to reset to Default settings ?) lists in Preferences..?

Regards
Nuro

Hello ?

Guys, need some serious help here - as stated, serious sensors are not even active for this Mobo that should and need to be ? IE the +3.3v sensor is non-existent and after importing someone's sensor upload that has this sensor within their custom display, it is blank on my stats, as only +3.3Vsb is showing - HWiNFO which ive used for years has found it ?

But as i want to customise my own.....and its not the only sensor HWiNFO has in its lists, that has for some inexplicable reason not shown up in AIDA64...?

You can reset your OSD settings by closing AIDA64, navigating to AIDA64 installation folder, opening AIDA64.INI (settings file) in Notepad (or any other text editor of your choice), and removing all lines starting with OSDItem_

Please note that the explained process will delete all your customization about your OSD Panel.

I'm not sure if I understand your issues about the sensors monitoring and whether it's separate from the OSD Panel reset issue.  Is the missing +3.3V rail the only problem, or you have multiple issues that you're looking to solve?

Edit: We will fix the missing +3.3V voltage reading issue in the next AIDA64 beta update.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me...

Firstly, it is the missing +3.3v rail, plus the +5vsb rail and the +12vsb rail that are missing...

Secondly, there are fan headers missing also:
- the H.S Fan (heat sink fan for air cooled CPUs, pretty important...)
- plus the AIO (All in One) and WP (Water Pump) Fan Headers are missing, which are full speed fan headers for those that use AIO CPU coolers (also pretty important)

I'm not certain what you mean by OSD (on screen display) - my rather convoluted question was really trying to ask where i can find the missing sensors for this board.

How long until i will be able to use this BETA update do you think, can i ask ?

Regards,
Nuro

PS: This motherboard isn't a cheap one, its a high end enthusiast ASUS mobo, and im honestly curious as to how its full sensors suite has been missed...especially considering which PSU sensors and Fan sensors are missing.

1) AFAIK 5VSB and 12VSB are not measured by your motherboard.

2) The mentioned 3 fans are already measured for your motherboard.  Please check if they're there on the Computer / Sensor page of AIDA64.

3) We're planning to roll out the new beta in a few days from now.

4) It's very difficult and time consuming to support every single high-end motherboard in AIDA64.  We do our best, but such motherboards with a complicated sensor layout are always a big challenge.

HI, and thanks

But as i outlined, there are many sensors still missing ??

EDIT: Sorry, missed the reply above this.....im checking for what you mean by Computer / Sensor...you will need to specify what this means - if your asking me to check the OSD list of items, there still not there....

EDIT 2: OK so this isnt installing ? This package inst actually doing anything but temporarily opening and checking the systems info, then closes down after i close it - and the other version is still installed ?
How does this RAR package install itself, or update over the other (now deleted from my system) version, as the EXE in this package is not doing a proper install....?

EDIT 3: Under Computer>Sensor>Cooling Fans - there are still 3 fan headers missing...and 1 of them is extremely important, because it has manual profile attached to it that is set in the BIOS, the HS fan header (of which i have to use with my fan hubs), the other 2 are the AIO and WP headers.

EDIT 4: Just and FYI - these x299 mobos from Asus can also have the Fan Extension Card II installed on them, which means 6 more fan headers and 3 more temp sensors...

1) Computer / Sensor page can be found in the left page menu of AIDA64.  First you need to expand Computer to find the Sensor page.

2) Beta builds are only available as portable ZIP packages.  You can download the ZIP file and extract it to the existing installation folder of AIDA64.  Let it overwrite any existing files.  It will retain your settings as well as your license.

3) It's very odd to be honest.  Please right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> ISA Sensor Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic, or attach the results as a TXT file to your post. You may need to enable status bar in AIDA64 / main menu / View first.

4) Fan Extension Card is already supported for your motherboard.
