BHSY Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Hi @Fiery, I’ve been using the Image Resize function for my images and gauges, along with the upscale and downscale options. These features have been very helpful, especially when resizing from 2560×720 to 1920×515, though I still need to make some minor adjustments afterward. 👍 Would it be possible to add an option to manually input the scale percentage based on either width or height? For example, downsizing the height from 720 to 515 works out to about 71.5%, with the width resizing automatically to match. Having the ability to enter percentages directly, ideally with decimal support, but even whole numbers like 71% would be fine. It would make resizing much easier and more precise. I believe this feature may have been mentioned before on the forum, but I’d like to bring it up again. This would also be useful in cases such as downscaling from 1920×515 to 1920×480, where resizing by height first and then adjusting element spacing according to the panel’s width provides a smoother adjustment. I understand if this feature can’t be added at present or if it’s not practical to implement at the moment. Thank you! 1 1 Quote
Loyd Posted May 29 Posted May 29 I second this. to get the size I need 1600X1200 from a 1920X1080 first use 66% then 125% get me close 1584X891. Be really nice if I could use .833% 2 Quote
Surjeet Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I agree! Having point-level precision is always useful and would be a great improvement. 2 Quote
BHSY Posted July 4 Author Posted July 4 (edited) As there’s been no response for over a month, I guess it is not possible at the moment. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Edited August 7 by BHSY Quote
POE Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Yea adding a forum for people to add their ideas to the software is useless if they wont do it Quote

Thank you! @Loyd @Surjeet @POE We've implemented the requested feature in the latest AIDA64 beta build: https://www.aida64.com/downloads/latesta64xebeta Let me know how it works. 3 Quote

The panel can be resized in one dimension at a time, either by length or by height, scaling up or down, and with a custom value I can set the percentage close to precision. Of course, both width and height will adjusted proportionally. I honestly didn’t expect this to be possible and had given up hope, so I’m truly grateful for the effort you and your team put into making it happen. 🥹 The 'Scale by' feature works wonderfully. Many thanks to you and your team for delivering such a valuable improvement. 🙏 Edited 4 hours ago by BHSY 2 Quote
Loyd Posted yesterday at 02:56 PM Posted yesterday at 02:56 PM I second BHSY statement. Your programmers are outstanding. Now if they could only come up with a Linux verson! 3 Quote

WO WO WO!! 😲 What have you done, man?! 🔥 This new “Scale by” feature is AMAZING! The new “Scale by” feature is awesome! Finally, we can just enter the exact size we want instead of fighting with the dimensions. Seriously, THANK YOU to the whole team. What a great improvement! 🙏👏 2 Quote

What a great improvement! 🙏👏 I’m sorry if my earlier comments misled you. You can only adjust either the width or the height of the panel. For example, if I want to change the height of a 2560×720 panel to 1920×515, I would enter 71.52% in the Scale by… option, which produces a panel size of 1831×515. This way, instead of resizing by width, I can resize the panel by height. Edited 3 hours ago by BHSY 1 1 Quote
