Asus X99-E & X99-M WorkStation

Not sure if im posting in the correct location.  Bottom line here is i wanted to try your program and to be honest the sensor readings on both boards are all over the place some work and some are just totally incorrect.  The list for both boards are just way to long for me to add here. Hope you can fix this.

 

Boards.  Asus X99-E WS with 5960x 64GBram and Titan X Hydro

              Asus X99-M WS with 5820  32GBram and 980ti Hybrid

 

Like i mentioned alot of the sensors are not correct some are missing and the list for both boards is BIG. Hopefully you guys and sort this as i dont have the time to generate a list of the problems.  it would be much easier to request a refund.

Please be a bit more patient, it's only been 10 hours since you've opened this topic ;)

As for your issue, X99-E WS should be well supported already. After upgrading to a new beta, make sure to restart Windows to apply the changes. Also make sure your Windows user have administrator privileges. If you can still find an error about the sensor adjustments, please let me know exactly which readings are inaccurate.

As for X99-M WS, that motherboard is indeed not supported yet. We'll implement support for it in the next AIDA64 stable update due next week. If you wish, I can send you a beta update tomorrow though, if you prefer to get the bug fix ASAP.

Sorry for sounding inpatient.

 

On the X99-E board there are some problems with some of the sensor readings like i have a secondary card (running a 750ti) which controls my wacom 22hd tablet and on the fan sensor it shows up as 40rpm the tempreture sensor shows up as 15c which is wrong as that card normally runs at around 38c.

 

As for the X99-M i can wait for the stable if you think for any reason the beta will cause me problems.

As for the GTX750Ti issue, please right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Video Debug --> nVIDIA GPU Registers. Copy-paste the full results into this topic, or attach it as a TXT file to your post. You may need to enable status bar first in AIDA64 / main menu / View.

Also right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Video Debug --> nVIDIA SMBus Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic, or attach it as a TXT file to your post.

Hi Fiery,  If i were to use the latest Beta on the X99-E WS will that sort out the problems with the sensors? I only tried the beta with the X99-M Board and becuase that didnt work i didnt try it with the X99-E board.

 

Also do i need to purchase seperate serial keys for both Systems?

Thank you for the data. Looking at the registers, I'd say the issue is that the fan is stopped, not spinning. Please don't mix fan speed (RPM) and fan duty cycle (%). Duty cycle only means what speed is requested by the fan controller. Even a stopped or missing fan could be configured to any duty cycle.

Please also do not link (couple) the motherboard sensor readings (like motherboard temperature, +12V voltage reading, etc) and the GPU fan or GPU temperature readings. They come from different sensor chips using different interface. X99-E WS, the motherboard itself is well supported, while X99-M WS is not fully supported yet. As for your GPUs, they both should be well supported, regardless of which motherboard do you install them in.

just looked at the fan and it is working.  I do have the correct sensor selected in adia too.  So not sure why the readins are incorrect.

Are you sure your video card is able to measure its own fan RPM? Can you see that reading in any software, e.g. HWMonitor or GPU-Z?

Hello Fiery,

 

Just downloaded your latest beta version and at present all seems well with the X99-M but will carry on testing this week and let you know.  As for the GPU problem with the X99-E i know what the problem is there, Aidia is only offering me fan speed hence why im only seeing 40 which is obviously the speed precetage and not the RPM. MY BAD.  The X99-E is offline now until 2morrow for a pump change and once i have it back up i will let you know if indeed that GPU is able to read fan speed or not.  Thank you for your help and again very sorry for my inpatient self and the start of this thread.

Hello Fiery,

 

Been testing the beta with the X99-M board and so far i have come up with one problem.  The NIC 1 & 2 seem to be sharing the same information even thou they are assigned to different network sockets.  I have included a snap shot for which you will see from the 4 graphs at the bottom.  the Left graphs are the uploads Nic 1&2 and the right graphs are the downloads Nic 1&2.  Let me know your thoughts.

We've checked, and NIC1 and NIC2 are not mixed by AIDA64. So please make sure to check your configuration, to make sure you really have configured the 2 sets of graphs for different NIC indexes.

Just to let you know that the CPU option fan header reading is missing from Aida. This is on the X99-M WS. On the X99-E WS this header is present.

On the X99-M WS board, please right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> ISA Sensor Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic, or attach the results as a TXT file to your post. You may need to enable status bar in AIDA64 / main menu / View first.

Thank you for the data. The issue will be fixed in the next AIDA64 beta update due in a few days from now. I'll post a message into this topic once the new beta is available for download.

Thanks for that... Everything seems to work ok.  Not sure if your aware but Corsair has updated the Corsair Link Software to version 4.2+.  In return now there is no sensor support for the H110i GTX Pump.
