Feature request - Intel Quick Sync

Information about Intel Quick Sync support in CPU and check if it really works.

I'm afraid Intel haven't really published any low-level information about Quick Sync, or at least so far we couldn't find any useful info on how to detect that feature. Do you know any software (either made by Intel or a 3rd party) that can show any information on Quick Sync?

I don't know software that shows any detailed information about it, but some encoders/decoders can detect its presence and use it.

You can try to ask Eric Gur from Intel, author of freely available QuickSync Decoder: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=162442.

are there any news regarding this topic?

It is a useful information to detect the presence of Quick Sync (is it available/enabled etc.), because of the multiple possibilities of hardware/software configurations.

Also maybe performance counters/tests are interesting, because of the vendor frequencies (clock speed).

Hello, LAV Filters ( http://code.google.com/p/lavfilters/ ) has a Intel Quick Sync detection.

I hope it can help to add it to Aida64.
