Okay, when I removed AI I did stop all ASUS services and for a period of a full day, the fans ran higher than I liked but I wanted to fault find as best I could. Further I can run AI Suite at the same time as AIDA which I am presently doing and both software packages report identical readings. With versions from 3500 onward the 2 sensors we are referring to show nil value when they stop, if I then open Sensor Panel Manager and say click on 'modify' CPU it is not highlighted in the list like all the other sensors are, so I have to select it again. My sensor panel is normally running 16 hours a day and both sensor are constantly adjusting as they operate to keep the temperature within limits. I have also altered update frequencies to stop the loss presently the sensor panel is at 3000 ms Now I am a person that will focus on logic to solve a problem, I have worked in the IT industry for many years, If one version of your product works but another doesn't and that is the only change in the system then I must assume you have changed the code in a way the has altered the product. David EDIT: now running 3600 but have moved update frequency back to 5,000ms this seems to be more stable will advise if not successful. EDIT 2: No! after one reboot AIDA loaded with 0 readings in the 2 sensors gone back to 3500

I have used AIDA for many many years I can understand what you wrote, but not understand why all version up to and including 5.30.3500 have worked without any issue and then after 3500 problems! to blame the mobo is really lame! I sit right next to my box I can assure you I would hear if fans and especially the water pump had issues. I have even ran the system without loading AI Suite and experienced the same issue, so we can rule that out too! but that's okay I have a good system and no need to upgrade for some time, I'll just not renew my subscription. The items in the sensor panel are still there however show no values, if I load the Sensor Panel Manager and select say CPU for modification I see that the CPU sensor is no longer associated with that gauge, and I must select it again from the list of sensors

I have an older ASUS X58 Motherboard and monitor the system using AIDA sensor panel I am finding that any AIDA version later than 5.30.3500 is causing a loss of focus with 2 sensors namely Chassis #2 and CPU. The loss of focus normally occurs on first boot where the reading from the two sensor is not present, a restart of AIDA will rectify this issues, however the problem will also appear at a random period during the computer being on. I can supply debug info if required, sadly at this time I can't use any version above 5.30.350 I have tried all versions (beta) and the problem exists with all of them and see no need to replace the mobo because of monitoring software. I have numerous sensor panel items showing but only 2 are giving me problems and they are related to AIDA64. I have AIDA64 start when windows starts although have now had to start it after windows because if started with windows the 2 sensor items are not connected to AIDA64 unless restarted, EDIT: uninstalled and cleaned the registry then re-loaded the non beta, problem seems to have been fixed

Well what a great message to get assistance, many many very happy AIDA64 users here and elsewhere, why don't you try a grownup approach to your problem and tell us what your mobo is (if you know) that way you will probably get the help you need, well AIDA64 help anyway David

Download 250release_sample.sensorpanel from the thread the link points to, then import it using the SensorPanel Manager. don't know how you got a gzip extension, it's not on my downloads. David

Open AIDA64, go to file, top left corner and select preferences, go down left hand side of preferences to Hardware monitoring, expand that! find sensor panel, click on it and then click in the box "show Sensor Panel" click ok, you should now see a sensor panel on your desktop? if NOT go back and try again, of course if you have already activated the panel you could do all the above by right clicking the AIDA64 icon in the taskbar and selecting show sensorpanel. Okay so now you have the sensor panel on your desktop, right click on the panel and select SensorPanel Manager, from the manager select an item, lets say CPU Clock which I'm sure everybody has! highlight that then click modify in the bottom right hand buttons. you could also select NEW if doing this for first time. Depending on what your now looking at, both have at the top a drop down box click that and you will see a selection of what you want to do including the new items of graph and gauge. You should be ok from here to create your masterpiece David

I would like to chip in here in order to assist with information, I too have a Lenovo T410i Thinkpad and up until the second last version I believed that AIDA64 was not reading the cpu cycles correctly! (see hardware section) I was shouted down and told that it was the program forcing the cpu into turbo, well surprise that no longer happens! and AIDA64 behaves like it should, so maybe previous versions were reading or affecting some portions of the system wrongly.

I'd just like to follow up as I think there is an issue with AIDA64 and Lenovo laptops, the following 2 images show the laptop at rest with the intel turbo monitor showing the CPU at rest whilst AIDA64 shows it with a x23 multiplier and running at turbo. This is NOT AIDA64 causing turbo by polling the system. The second image shows AIDA64 stress test and AIDA64 showing the cpu at the same speed as Intel BUT lower that at rest! Now none of this is critical but I'm sure the developers would like a 'perfect' program

Sounds like black magic to me! but I'll go with what you say it's not a critical issue, my i7 950 desktop behaves as you would expect, both showing same data! David

Yes thought of that, but if I have AIDA64 monitoring the CPU and at the same time Intel's solution then the Intel shows the CPU at rest 2.5Ghz whilst AIDA shows it at turbo! Further, if under load, then the Intel solution may show the CPU at say 2.7, then AIDA will also show the CPU at 2.7, it's as though AIDA is seeing rest as turbo and visa versa! David

I recently purchased a Lenovo Thinkpad T410i it runs a Intel® Core™ i5 CPU M 540 @ 2.53GHz on a intel chipset PCH QM57 I have 8Gb of DD3 memory. Now both AIDA64 and CPU-Z show the CPU running at 3.06GHz which is the CPU's turbo mode and it is not running turbo full time. Intel turbo boost monitor 2.0 and the internal PC Doctor application do show the CPU running at rest down to 2.53GHz so is there a way I can get AIDA64 correctly report the CPU on this setup? David

None that I'm aware of I assume you have gone to File > Preferences > General and ticked load at windows startup! works fine for me and obviously every other user else the forum would be full of complaints Happy New Year

Just a thought! I appreciate feature rich software as much as the next guy but, unless your a tech working on many machines, updating weekly for hardware changes that I'll only ever make when I upgrade my computer is an annoyance not a benefit! if you get what I mean?

That looks like a section of a windows desktop wallpaper! The bottom line is you make your own background either cut or create a jpg image to the size of the background you want and then ensure it is the first image in the stack so all other images and sensor objects are on top of that. You can find the current size of your background in the sensor panel set up screen and you can adjust it there to a size of your needs. or you can have a blank background and set a transparency. David
