RazerSwitchblade LCD stopped working.

If i cycle the LCD option, it says it cant find RzSwitchladeSDK2.dll

The SDK appears installed in the proper Razer directory, and the DLL is present.

EDIT:  I rolled back to the stable release, and it works again.  Appears to be an issue with the newest beta.

The latest AIDA64 beta build is already a preview of the next-generation AIDA64 which is a native 64-bit application and so it requires 64-bit DLL modules.  It means, in your particular case the new AIDA64 requires the 64-bit variant of RzSwitchbladeSDK2.dll.  We will check it out, maybe there's a new trick to be implemented in AIDA64 to find the right (64-bit) RzSwitchbladeSDK2.dll file automatically.  Until then, you can try to copy the 64-bit RzSwitchbladeSDK2.dll into the AIDA64 installation folder to make it work.

Also, make sure to check this topic:

BTW, what Razer product do you try to use AIDA64 with? DeathStalker Ultimate keyboard?  Do you use any features of the Razer Synapse framework with your Razer hardware?

I'm just asking because we haven't found any traces of a 64-bit RzSwitchbladeSDK2.dll  😞 Which means we gotta figure out an alternative method to talk to the Razer LCD.  One option may be to sack Razer Synapse 2.0 (which will be deprecated in October this year anyway), install a special driver for the Razer LCD and talk to the device directly.  It may work out, but then you'd lose the ability to install and use Razer Synapse.

yes, the old ass DetahStalker Ultimate..ive rebuilt it twice from ebay purchases...

i just cant bear to get rid of it, i love the switchblade with aida on it....

i dont use any of the other features of the framework other than changing the lighting periodically, and occasionally the touchscreen mouse when my main mouse goes wacky (which i believe is a standalone driver anyway by synaptics)

Ive done a search of my machine, and there appears to be only one copy of the .dll, so i doubt there is a 64bit version.

I actually did try to put a copy in the aid64 program directory when i was troubleshooting but it didnt work.

Razer may have one they never released.

We'll check if it's possible to develop a 64-bit DLL on ourselves.  It'd be much easier to switch to direct USB communication, but then you'd lose the ability of changing the lighting.  We'll try to find a middle ground: maybe it's possible to keep the Synapse framework and only take over the handling of the LCD screen by effectively "stealing" access to the LCD from Synapse.  That way you could continue changing the lighting.

BTW, do you use the dynamic keys with AIDA64, to e.g. configure the LCD layout or to switch between LCD pages?

I only use a single page for the layout and have never used those buttons and the worthless apps they open.

if i have to lose access to the touchpad functionality i suppose i can live with that although like i mentioned, its a separate driver and i'm pretty sure it still works without the framework.

the lighting profile i believe is stored on the keyboard hardware (it survives reboot and is active  during post/bios) so theoretically i could fire up the framework  when i need to change it, then disable it after to allow aida to run the layout if it interferes.

Then I think in your case it should work out :) Here's a new beta update for AIDA64:

https://www.aida64.com/downloads/latesta64xebeta

This will support direct USB communication with the LCD device of the venerable Razer DeathStalker Ultimate keyboard. It uses the LibUSB library, and requires you to install the Samsung LCD LibUSB driver for your Razer LCD device using the following trick:

1) Download the Samsung SPF LCD driver digitally signed by us (FinalWire) from:

http://download.aida64.com/resources/lcd/samsung_spf_lcd_driver.zip

2) Extract the ZIP package into a folder on your PC, e.g. C:\1

3) Right-click on the Windows button on the Taskbar --> Device Manager

4) In the Device Manager look for the device entry for the Razer LCD.  It should be inside the group called Universal Serial Bus Controllers. The device name should be Razer DeathStalker Ultimate

5) Right-click on the Razer LCD device --> Uninstall Device --> tick the Delete the driver software for this device checkbox

6) Right-click on any items in the Device Manager --> Scan for hardware changes

7) In the Device Manager look for the new device entry for the Razer LCD.  It should be inside the group called Other devices. The device name should still be Razer DeathStalker Ultimate

8) Right-click on the Razer LCD device --> Update driver -->  Browse my computer for drivers

9) Click on the bottom button: Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer

10) Select Show All Devices --> click on the bottom Next button --> click on the Have Disk button

11) Navigate to the folder where you've extracted the ZIP package into, go to the subfolder named new driver (2021), and select the .INF file there

12) In the Select the device driver you want to install for this hardware window feel free to choose any of the devices, e.g. the first one called Samsung 1000P Digital Photo Frame

13) Click on the Yes button in the Update Driver Warning message box

14) You're done with driver installation.  The only thing now you need is the 64-bit LibUSB DLL, filename: libusb0.dll, can be found in the bin\amd64 folder of the LibUSB Win32 distribution package  Simply copy that DLL file to the installation folder of AIDA64.

15) You can now can start using the Razer LCD module with the next-generation AIDA64 ;)  Please note that pressing the dynamic keys will do nothing right now, so you cannot use them to change LCD page.

Please note that this process of driver installation applies to both Windows 10 and Windows 11.

------

If you want to reverse that process and revert back to the original Razer LCD driver installed by Razer Synapse 2.0, please do the following:

1) Right-click on the Windows button on the Taskbar --> Device Manager

2) In the Device Manager look for the device entry for the Razer LCD.  It should be inside the group called libusb-win32 devices. The device name should be e.g. Samsung 1000P Digital Photo Frame

3) Right-click on the device --> Uninstall Device --> tick the Delete the driver software for this device checkbox

4) Right-click on any items in the Device Manager --> Scan for hardware changes

5) In the Device Manager look for the new device entry for the Razer LCD.  It should be inside the group called Other devices. The device name should still be Razer DeathStalker Ultimate

6) Right-click on the Razer LCD device --> Update driver -->  Browse my computer for drivers

7) Click on the bottom button: Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer

8) Select Show All Devices --> click on the bottom Next button --> click on the Have Disk button

9) Navigate to the folder called C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Razer_Common_Driver\Drivers\amd64\LowerFilter, and select the .INF file there

Let me know how it works out for you :)
