SensorPanel disappears when launching certain games

Hey guys. 

I am currently using an 8 inch LCD display to show the sensor panel but have been noticing that it disappears when I load certain games (so far, rocket league and assassins creed origins).

Does anybody know how to get round this our have knowledge of why this happens. Many thanks

What interface do you use to connect your 8-inch LCD to your computer?  What video card do you have?

I am also having this issue. I have a 7 inch display to the right of my main monitor, connection via HDMI to integrated gpu on mobo. Gtx 1080 ti runs the main monitor. When I launch Apex legends for instance, the game seems to reset my screens for a moment. Icons that are on my main display are briefly shifted to my left and right display which is the same time when the Aida64 sensor panel disappears. When the game closes, the icons reset to their original position and the sensor panel reappears.

Do you use DPI zoom on either one of your displays?

I suppose it could be a specific setting in Windows that disables non-primary monitors when playing a full-screen game.

I had this exact same issue. Any game i loaded would make my sensor panel disappear on my 5 inch LCD too tho for me at least i found a way around it.

The issue for me was I have a 4k monitor but my GPU (Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB) isnt powerful enough to play games at 4k, so my desktop resolution is set to 4k but when i load any games I play them at 1440p. This is where the issue with sensor panel disappearing comes in. Soon as you run a game in full screen mode the GPU changes signal to 1440p fullscreen making sensor panel disappear. So to try compensate for it, you change the settings in the game so its windowed fullscreen mode, this creates another problem. Running a game in windowed fullscreen mode will run the game resolution at the DESKTOP RESOLUTION, which in my case is 4k and due to the GPU unable to game at that resolution, the game takes a huge hit in performance.

The way i found around this is rather simple, and to stop sensor panel from disappearing from your LCD when running games in fullscreen is to change the DESKTOP RESOLUTION by right clicking on the desktop and clicking display settings. In my case i changed it to 2560x1440. So now when i run any of my games in fullscreen or windowed fullscreen, sensor panel stays on my LCD screen and i have no hit in game performance.

This worked for me so hopefully others who have the same issue that head to the forums will see this and maybe it will help them.

Thank you for letting us know about your way around the issue.  What we've found out recently is that indeed when AIDA64 SensorPanel is running on a secondary display and the primary display resolution changes, the SensorPanel position will change since it's tied to a relative position counting from the top-left corner of the primary display.  One workaround for such issues we've found is to move the secondary display to the left of the primary display in the multi-monitor configuration panel of the WIndows 10 Settings.  So when the small (secondary) display is on the left and the large (primary) display is on the right, the position of the SensorPanel will be retained even when the primary display resolution changes.

No way, i was gona try this but ended up not bothering cause i thought it wouldnt make a difference. Glad it worked. Now i can go back to 4k desktop resolution. Happy days. :D

It's not relative to the main monitor.  It simply has a fixed X,Y coordinate on the Windows Desktop.  The Windows Desktop may span across multiple monitors, and the Windows Desktop arrangement may change in case Windows shuffles monitors around or when resolution of one ore more monitors change.  It's best if you could assure that the monitor where your SensorPanel is placed gets fixed coordinates on the whole Windows Desktop.  Try to make that monitor to be left and top of everything else.
