As I wrote above, you should run the stability test for at least half an hour. If your system can stand it for half an hour without overheating, than your CPU is fine. After the first test you may also want to enable the GPU subtest to check whether your video card is overheating under heavy load. If any visual artifacts appear on the screen while running the FPU+GPU stress test, or your video driver resets or reports an error, or the computer turns off / restarts, then there's a hardware issue. Otherwise, I'd say it must be some sort of software or configuration problem.

Let it overwrite any existing files. Both your current configuration settings and your license will be retained.

1) Are you sure you've properly performed the upgrade to Beta 2430? Please check the file size of AIDA_CPUID.DLL, it should be 3123528 bytes (2.98 MBytes) long. If it's correct, then please post your AIDA64.INI file so we can check it out with both the previous AIDA64 beta release and the current one. 2) Even if you disable the auto-start feature in AIDA64, the Logitech LCD Manager may still auto-start AIDA64 Make sure to disable that feature in LCD Manager. 3) Stability issues on Asus ROG boards are usually caused by collisions between AI Suite II and AIDA64. We've asked Asus numerous times to implement the same industry standard synchronization techniques that would assure AI Suite II could work well with other monitoring software, but they refuse to cooperate with other software developers. That's because you manually have to set the Type field for your gauges to either Black (Reverse) or White (Reverse). We've chosen the manual way because for example for cooling fans some of us prefer to have the "red" region in the bottom of the scale (to indicate too slowly spinning fans), while others may prefer to have the "red" region at the end of the scale (to indicate too high RPM).

1) RST 12.6 seems to have issues passing SMART calls, so it's best to stick to previous WHQL RST releases. 2) If you have a discrete nVIDIA or AMD GPU, then video BIOS version should be displayed on the Display / GPU page.

There seems to be a bug in Logitech Gaming Software under Windows 8 that sometimes prevents AIDA64 from detecting the connected devices. We'll do more test runs with the latest Logitech Gaming Software, and will try to come up with a workaround until Logitech could fix it from their end.

Yes, it looks like it's a motherboard or BIOS issue. In such cases it's best to focus on the rest of the CPU temperature readings (CPU Package, CPU IA Cores, CPU GT Cores, CPU #1 / Core #n), because they are measured using the CPU's internal registers and temperature diodes, so those readings are both motherboard independent and BIOS independent.

There're some issues with RST 12.6 drivers, so I'd downgrade to an earlier WHQL RST release that doesn't suffer from the mentioned issue. Regards, Fiery

By connecting the box via USB should be enough to let AIDA64 read SMART info.

AIDA64 can only list the 32-bit control panel applets there. That's definitely a limitation, but we haven't found a way to get around it so far. Regards, Fiery

First of all, please note that only locally connected drives can be interrogated by the SMART layer of AIDA64. Remote drives are not supported. In case you drive is connected locally, then make sure to have both RAID options enabled in AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Stability, and that you're running the latest beta release of AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at: http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild2419txgzqv3nwhzip If it still doesn't work, then please right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Disk Debug --> RAID Dump. AIDA64 uses standard Windows internert access API (wininet.dll) to download updates information and update packages using HTTP protocol. It uses standard Windows proxy configuration, but beyond that it has no control over the actual network adapter, network layer or network route Windows picks to download the necessary files from AIDA64 servers. So I'm afraid currently we cannot limit AIDA64 NetUpdate to specific network connections. Regards, Fiery

Thank you Meanwhile, we've tested Intel RST 12.6.0.1028 on a P67 board with 2 HDDs in a RAID0 array, and for us AIDA64 latest beta worked flawlessly. Full SMART information, incl. drive temperatures returned perfectly.
