Feature request for Aquaero 5 Sensor Values
Fiery replied to rich.switzer@gmail.com's topic in Brainstorming
I've only had a quick look on their website, but to me it looks like you need to add special modules (DLL) to your application and you need to use .NET Framework to push your data to the Aquaero LCD. Adding external files to AIDA64 package is not something we would want to do, and .NET is quite inefficient, so we have to say no at this point. In case Aqua Computer software developers want to provide direct support for AIDA64 from their end, it's of course possible via either the Shared Memory, WMI or Registry data export methods of AIDA64. Regards, Fiery -
You can use the Statistics tab of the AIDA64 System Stability Test for that purpose, or you can activate Logging in AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Hardware Monitoring / Logging. Regards, Fiery

1) Do you need it to monitor GeForce 600 Series video adapters? 2) Would it be okay to have a single value that shows the current PCIe link rate for the primary GPU? Thanks, Fiery

Thank you, we'll add your monitor to the next AIDA64 beta release. Regards, Fiery

I'm afraid that information is correct. As this page confirms ... http://msdn.microsof...(v=vs.110).aspx ... .NET Framework 4.5 RC completely replaces .NET Framework 4.0. What it doesn't explain is why the replaced files keep the old version numbers of .NET Framework 4.0. I hope the final release of .NET Framework 4.5 will fix that, and maybe it will also be installed in a new folder under \Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework, instead of weirdly overwriting the .NET Framework 4.0 files there...

Thank you, we'll fix that in the next AIDA64 beta release.

Thank you for the feedback

Thank you. We'll wait for the next Intel RST WHQL driver update before drawing any further conclusion from that anomaly.

Not all systems are capable of measuring specific power or temperature values. You can find out what your computer can measure on the Computer / Sensor page in AIDA64.

After running a benchmark, press the Results button on the toolbar, and click on Add Result to User List. Regards, Fiery

Here's the new AIDA64 beta release with the issue resolved: http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild2003g7xvjmls4zzip After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade. Let me know how it works

Thank you for the info. We've tested it with 6 network adapters in a single system, and found no errors. Are you sure NIC5 and NIC6 items are not there among the OSD Items in the Preferences? Please try to scroll up and down in the list, and try finding them.

Great idea, we'll work on it
-
I'm afraid that isn't possible.

It's not a GZIP file, but a .sensorpanel file. You need to download that, and import it via the SensorPanel Manager. You can launch the SensorPanel Manager from the right-click context menu on the SensorPanel.

The "RAID member enumeration" and "RAID SMART support" options may help about SATA drives, but for SCSI and SAS drives only the next AIDA64 beta update will help

I found something weird in L2 Cache Benchmark
Fiery replied to Garfunkel's topic in Benchmarking, system performance
It seems Win8 Release Preview Build 8400 has fixed this issue. -
I'm afraid I cannot provide you with a full source code for the ACPI query module of AIDA64, but I can give you a few key words for API calls and other portions, so you can use Google and MSDN to try and build it up. IoGetDeviceObjectPointer IoBuildDeviceIoControlRequest IOCTL_ACPI_EVAL_METHOD KeInitializeEvent KeWaitForSingleObject Regards, Fiery

Then to you too: please let me know what settings do you alter in the Preferences so frequently that you need such menu item for convenience Because if you need to use the Preferences several times a day, then maybe moving some option(s) from the Preferences to a place that is easier to access may be a good idea for an improvement.
-
Can you please check how many subpages of the Windows Network page do the "Bytes empfangen" and "Bytes gesendet" lines appear properly? Does it match the 4 NIC items on the OSD items page?
-
We try to not add many more items to the AIDA64 System Tray context menu to make sure it is kept simple and easy-to-use. Please let me know what settings do you alter in the Preferences so frequently that you need such menu item for convenience. Thanks, Fiery

1) We'll fix that in the next AIDA64 beta update due later this week. I'll drop a message into this topic once the new beta is available. 2) We've changed the rounding logic for fan duty cycle values in AIDA64 v2.50. Before that, duty cycle was rounded down by simply omitting the fractional part of the value. So in AIDA64 v2.30 both 30.2% and 30.9% were rounded down to 30%. In AIDA64 v2.50 we use math rounding, so 30.2% now becomes 30%, but 30.9% now rounded to 31%. I'm afraid ForceWare drivers use the wrong logic for rounding, so now AIDA64 v2.50 shows the correct values, but they sadly don't match ForceWare values IMHO it's actually nVIDIA who has to fix the rounding logic in ForceWare, but in order to avoid confusion we'll adjust AIDA64 (in the next beta update) to match ForceWare values.

Thank you for reporting about that issue. It will be fixed in the next AIDA64 beta release. I'll drop a message into this topic once the new beta is available. Regards, Fiery

How many network adapters do you have? You can check them on the Network / Windows Network page. Is the WLAN adapter among those network adapters? How many network adapters are listed among the hardware monitor items? For example: NIC1 Download Rate, NIC2 Download Rate -- means 2 adapters detected by the hardware monitor module. Thanks, Fiery
