  1. I will not address the fixed scale to auto scale on threshold for graphing issue, but autoscalling on bars would yield a full bar all the time, as that is what auto scaling does. You need the history of a graph to make autoscaling useful.
  2. Using: http://www.bing.com/translator/ I'm new to this forum, I have always liked the program Everest and now named Aida64 I'm still enjoying, even now much more. Apologise for the language to English I can defend myself to read it but not to write it, so apologies to not be able to write in their language, otherwise you would in Indian, hehehehe. A long panel sensors Aida64 which I am using that in their latest versions has allowed me to customize it very at ease, except for small details that there is no custom to my extreme taste. In my case the image I used background is a rendering in 3DsMax which combines with the wallpaper, so don't be fooled and do not think I managed to put on transparent background and not the sensors. well, the fact is that I would like you in future releases to add you these options in the panel of sensors (if that it is possible), where I would customize it 100% to my liking, I am referring to the fact to be able to give a few degrees inclination as also a depth. I have attached a picture of as I have it currently (which is still under modifications and changes, this is only a preview of the idea I have in mind) and the options I like to allow in the future. My goal initially was to place sensors on the image itself, but due to the inclination of the front of the sensors and the render it looked ugly, so for now I have the sensors out of the image.
  3. Open Aida64 Click on the 'File' tab at the upper left, then select 'Preferences' The 'Preferences' window will open Slide down to 'Hardware Monitoring' & click on 'SensorPanel' under it The 'SensorPanel' option will display on the right pane Click 'Show SensorPanel' and set a 'SensorPanel size' (in pixels) & click 'OK' Find the Sensorpanel on your desktop You can drag it where you want it to sit (unless you locked the position in preferences) Right Click on the SensorPanel & select 'SensorPanel Manager' Click on the 'New' button at the bottom From here on you just experiment and see what is what
  4. To add some complexity to the thought-bubble issue, knowing how you enjoy a challenge , it would be useful to show the min/max values also.
  5. I was wondering if the onboard frimware was reading a different temp since it only takes the fan to 47%? Edit: Just checked with another program and it yields the same results.... sorry to have bothered.
  6. MThe GPU reports 96°C and the GPU Memory reports 88°C, but the GPU fan reports only 47%. Do these figures make real world sense? Motherboard: MSI X58 Pro-E CPU: QuadCore Intel Core i7-930, 2800 MHz Physical Memory: 12279 MB DDR3 GPU: PCI Express 2.0 x16: EVGA e-GeForce 8800 GT 256MB GDDR3 DirectX Hardware Support: DirectX v10 OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) Service Pack 1
  7. A conceptual follow-up on my previous post. Some sensors out of defined ranges All sensors within defined ranges
  8. Understood, and thank you for the reply. I want to throw an idea out here that may be a bit esoteric, but the forum is titled Brainstorming, so here goes. Airplane cockpits of old had rows and rows of gauges and indicators. Modern cockpits have reduced the need for individual gauges and indicators by implementing a digital display that only displays the status of sensors that are outside defined acceptable parameters.. A SensorPanel user defined area that would display sensors marked to display anomalous data in the display area, would be beautiful indeed. For temperature, voltage, fan status, and some others, I don't need, nor want to see a condition that says "I'm OK", but i always want to see sensors that are out of range. I know the concept is poorly described, but hopefully the gist makes it across.
  9. Curious if this is still under consideration? A global "Mouse-Over: Y/N" in the main SesnsorPanel preferences would work, and if "Yes" is selected, the ability to specify the x/y where on the panel the information would display. For the displayed data, the user's label in the SensorPanel would be the best to display.
  10. I am a bit embarrassed, i see all this high-tech talk going on and my input is at the dumb-blond level, but it is what it is, and we all play our roles 3) A "tiny" size for gauges would be useful for my minimalist approach (1/2 the small size?) I understand user simplicity is the mantra, but I'm interested to use a gauge to show "Estimated Battery Time", where the red should actually show at the low end of the range. So dangerous asking for feedback Thank you for all your fine work. Edit: attachments deleted
  11. Mini SensorPanel in context
  12. Looking at it again, that gadget was from sfkilla and I was also waiting for an update at the time. But there has been no activity on their website since the beginning of 2010. The gadget requires Everest which is no longer published... sfkilla would have to modify the gadget to use AIDA64 as it's source. You can develop a similar gadget using the AIDA64 SensorPanel function, which is actually more customizable, with all that that entails.
  13. I believe Everest was a forerunner to AIDA64. You should get something similar if you activate the gadget function in AIDA64. Start AIDA64 then Files>Preferences>Hardware Monitoring>Desktop Gadget and Enable Desktop Gadget Support Edit: image deleted Then drop down to Gadget Items and set it up. Edit: image deleted Lastly, RightClick on the Desktop, select Gadgets and DoubleClick the AIDA64 Gadget Icon Edit: image deleted and Voilà Edit: image deleted
  14. When I loaded the 250release_sample.sensorpanel, it appears localization to English missed on 'Utilization'.
  15. That gauge is actually 5 gauges, with the 4 smaller gauges listed AFTER the large one, so they show on top of the large one. (5 items in highlight box)
  16. Interesting implementation wih the gauges... if that is 4 cores over the processor, it really ties them together.
  17. No anomalies noted to date. Edit: image deleted for space
  18. I've watched it for a day or so now and saw nothing go below the graph area, but did see an instance of graphing above the graph area. I took a screenshot, but seem to have misplaced it. If it comes up again I'll try to get a screenshot. Edit: a couple shots of minor graphing extension above the graph area (attachments deleted) In both cases I have the graph range displayed for the graph outside the plot boundaries.
  19. There appears to be a minor scaling issue with the auto-scale function. Edit: {attachments deleted) The lower scale should have been zero, but at 1 the actual value is less and plots below the graph area In the 3rd sample it also runs above the graph area My panel to check for user errors Edit: {attachment deleted)
  20. Yes, I meant backing up the SensorPanel settings... the design & layout. To reload the SensorPanel if I have a HDD failure. I believe I read a comment in the forum that the exported sensorpanel file also contains images displayed in the panel?
  21. Initially I was copying the Aida64.ini file to a backup location, but I have started using the export function & saving that to a backup location. I believe that saves all except the actual x/y position on the desktop?
  22. Wonderful, much better than the multi-scale solution I was using... no vertical slashes as the graph runs through lower level scales. Edit: {attachment deleted) The up and down arrows give an indication of up/down speed by filling in, in 3 preset ranges/steps. Thank you
  23. I accept my spanking in the spirit it was given I understand the need to keep the SensorPanel useable by those who do not have the time to become proficient in all the finer aspects of it's use, and to that end I have a concept for consideration. Have an Auto-Scaling option, selected by default, that scales to the highest value in the displayable history. This would keep the graph on scale and in a viewable range. The user need not be concerned what so ever about the scaling values. The current Max/Min fields would then be greyed out, unless the Manual-Scaling option is selected.
  24. Not sure if this is a permanent or temporary fix, but I addressed my runaway graphing issue by cutting a hole the size of the graph in the background panel where I had the graph displayed, and then moving the graphing components to the top of the list to print behind the background panel. Edit: {attachment deleted) It works fine Edit: {attachment deleted) I currently have 3 ranges for both up and down.
