If you can help with this fiery. I just set up an X99 Asus Dlx motherboard with 5960X processor. Program is very unstable and always crashes. Also can not run any benchmarks without Aida crashing. Also motherboard temp shows at 114 degrees C and CPU reads 10 degrees C. Other temps look normal. Can you help? Sensor dump is below. Thanks in advance.

Hello

I am seeing the same with the Rampage V Extreme. CPU voltage is reported correctly in AIDA64 CPUID. Also when using the 125 strap the memory speed is misreported both in the sensor data and CPUID. If additional info is needed I'll be happy to provide it. Thanks.

Thank you for the info and the data. The sensor-related bugs will be fixed in the next AIDA64 beta release due in a few days from now. I'll post the download link into this topic once the new beta is available.

As for the strap, please provide us a bit more time to work on that. Our X99 test platform hasn't arrived yet, and we'll need that to fix a couple of issues.

Thanks,

Fiery

Thanks Fiery. Tried it and it's better but Cache benchmark still crashes sometimes and CPU temp went from 10C to 11C which is still not a correct value. Core 1 temp is 25C. Motherboard is correct now though and went to 26C. I will advise any other problems after more thorough testing. Thanks.

**Update**

Asus just posted a bios update 0801 for the X99 Deluxe. After updating to this bios, all temps including the faulty temp for cpu now read normally.  So that problem is solved. I'll advise if there is anything else. Thanks again Fiery.

Thank you for the feedback. We've double-checked it, and the register AIDA64 currently uses to read CPU temperature seems to be the right one. You can verify that by checking CPU temperature in AI Suite. If you decide to install AI Suite for the test, then please create a new ISA Sensor Dump before and after installing AI Suite. There's a slim chance AI Suite may reconfigure the sensor chip about temperature measurement.

As for the Cache & Memory Benchmark, what exactly happens? Is it just slow to complete, or an error message pops up? Please note that on DDR4 systems certain parts of AIDA64 may slow down for cca. 5 to 10 seconds, and it may look as if those modules locked up. But it's just a slowdown, and as soon as that "penalty" elapses, everything gets back to normal. The slowdown is due to the SPD bank switching mechanism of DDR4 modules. The bank switching sadly takes a lot more time than we've anticipated, which causes the 5 to 10 seconds slowdown when reading SPD memory module information. We'll work on that as soon as our X99 test platform arrives.

Sometimes when I click the "start benchmark" button the program stops responding. Then I would the "this program not responding" dialog box from windows and then aida closes itself forcing me to restart the program. So far in the brief time I have had since the bios update, the benchmark runs without issue. I'm sure it will just take some time for both the X99 platform and motherboard bios updates to make the platform operate perfectly. I'm sure it will help to get your X99 platform up and running as well.

Hi Fiery

The sensor page works fine with the R5E for the most part. I have highlighted the few readings that are incorrect below. The voltage labeled VTT is actually VCCIO CPU. The VCCIO labeled voltage I believe might be VCCIO PCH. I'm not sure what the +1.05 V entry is with the value being off. None of the highlighted voltages appear in the sensor page for the DPF. Is this because the values are incorrect? In regards to the comment about the reported memory speeds being incorrect for some of the dividers when using the 125 strap I have done some further testing and the incorrect speeds are also wrong when using the 100 strap. Thanks.

The latest beta also has an issue of a long hang when trying to access the Computer->Overclock section. And also under Computer-Sensor I have noticed the voltages are not reporting correctly for some things. Power values also. I am using a 5820K and ASUS X99 Deluxe BIOS 801.

Even though it looks like if it was frozen, AIDA64 doesn't actually lockup there, but just slows down due to the SPD bank switching being very slow on DDR4 modules. You have to wait cca. 10 seconds to let it go through, to let it scan all DIMM slots for any possible DDR4 modules installed, and then things will get back to normal. That scanning will only take place once per an AIDA64 session, but if you close AIDA64 and start it again, sadly it will have to do it again. We'll of course fix that as soon as our DDR4 platform arrives.

Thank you, we'll fix the voltages in the next AIDA64 beta. Rampage V Extreme and X99-Deluxe brought many changes to the sensor layer, so it takes a bit of time for us to figure out the layout :)

That is yet again due to the enermously slow SPD bank switching mechanism of DDR4 modules. We'll do our best to come up with a fixed AIDA64 beta in a few days from now. Sadly, we cannot do that without an actual test hardware on hand, since we have to tweak and optimize the DDR4 SPD bank switching code to make sure it becomes quick enough to let you use AIDA64 without any slowdowns.

Hi Fiery,

I also noticed wrong DDR4 reading (DDR4-3734) in latest 3136 Beta for Corsair 2666C15 mem.kit on ASUS R5E:

G.Skill kit is OK.

Edit:

I don't have any X99 board,so I cann't contribute much this time.

Rgs,

Thank you for the links. We'll definitely have to do a lot of measurements to find out where does our DRAM:BCLK ratio detection code have issues.

Hi Fiery

Ram detection (DDR4) on startup seems fixed as AIDA64 launches fast once again. A quick glance at the various voltages appear to be correct for the R5E. However there is a new issue and may be related to DDR4. I have tested using the onscreen display (OSD) and LCD. Choosing to display any option directly related to ram, such as memory speed or timings, causes a slowdown of AIDA64. Regardless of the hardware monitoring update frequency setting the screen updates take at least 7 seconds and moving around in AIDA64 preferences also has this delay from the time something is clicked on till the action completes. Removing the memory related info from the displayed items fixes the delay. Testing on non-X99 systems do not show this issue. Thanks.

Using X99 Deluxe and 5960X CPU.  Core voltage is reported incorrectly.  Perhaps because I am using the newest BIOS for the motherboard : 0904 version ?

You can see it here that the CPU core voltage is always reported as too low.

Hello,

I just recently built a new system based on the 5960x and Asus REV board. I am currently in your trial stage of the Aida 64 Extreme software since outside of stress testing i wanted a good monitor. I am am builing my own sensor pannel and noticed that on the temps for the processor cores its only listing the main cores and not the hyperthreaded cores. Is there a way to enable that? I would like to keep an eye on all cores especially when benching/stress testing. Right now I am getting the main 8 but not the others. Is this a limitation of the trial version or software itself? This would be a deal break on purchasing if it can not diplay them all. If I am simply missing them or the option please advise. I do see the utilization for all 16 just not the temps.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks

Let me add a question to this thread regarding the Asus Rampage V Extreme:

The board features three additional headers for temperature sensors (which are also shipped with the board). I use these sensors to control the case fans (in the UEFI setup), which works fine, however the sensor values themselves don't seem to be covered by AIDA64. The fan speed, however, is covered. Can they be added? Or is it an oversight on my part?

I've attached my sensor output:

Please note that the "missing" cores are virtual cores only. They are not physical cores, and so they cannot have an on-die temperature sensor.

Thank you for the data. Please let me know how the missing temperature readings are called in the UEFI Setup.
