Fiery
Along with the Logitech Arx integration, we've also come up with a new LCD module that basically acts as a web server. You can use your main computer to run AIDA64 on it and maintain its built-in web server, and you can use your other computers or mobile devices to monitor your main computer's status remotely, using nothing but a web browser. You can activate it in AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Hardware Monitoring / LCD / RemoteSensor. Once you activated it, you can enter the IP address in virtually any web browsers to connect to the RemoteSensor. You can check the primary IP address of your computer on the Computer / Summary page in AIDA64. If it is e.g. 192.168.1.123, then enter the following in the address bar of your web browser: http://192.168.1.123 Or, in case you use a different TCP/IP port than the default http port of 80, then enter the address like this: http://192.168.1.123:8080 (if you use a TCP/IP port of 8080) Or, in case you try to use a web browser on the same computer where AIDA64 is running, you can simply use "localhost" instead of the IP address, like this: http://localhost Once you did that, you should see the AIDA64 splash screen in your web browser. It will provide you with information on the resolution that you need to use to get the most out of the LCD layout designer. On iOS devices the default setting should be close to the actual value to use, while on Android and other devices it may not match at all, so you need to change both the width and height. Please note that the Preview Resolution usually will not match the native screen resolution of your device. It's not a problem at all, and that discrepancy is due to the way web browsers manage the pixels of your screen, so don't be surprised that e.g. an iPhone 5 would report a Preview Resolution of 980 x 1360 pixels After the Preview Resolution is updated on the AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Hardware Monitoring / LCD page, you can use the same LCD layout designer that you would use for other LCD devices or the SensorPanel. Known issues and limitations: 1) Graphs and gauges are not implemented yet. We're planning to add them in the next few weeks. 2) RemoteSensor uses HTML5 SSE (Server-Sent Events) to refresh the web page, without having to reload it all the time. SSE is supported by almost all major web browsers, including Android Browser, BlackBerry 10 Browser, Chrome, FireFox, Opera, and Safari. However, it is sadly not yet supported by Internet Explorer. AIDA64 implements a trick to get around that limitation, but it sometimes will result in a mixup of the browser. If you notice that after changing the LCD layout in the AIDA64 Preferences, a strange log replaces the LCD layout in your browser, just refresh the web page. Hopefully Microsoft will finally implement SSE support in Internet Explorer 12 3) In order to prevent your mobile device from going to sleep while having the web browser open, you may need to install special apps on your mobile device. RemoteSensor has absolutely no control over the power management behavior of your mobile device. In case this is a deal breaker for you, and you've got a Logitech Gaming hardware, consider using Logitech Arx instead of the RemoteSensor. You can try the RemoteSensor in the following new AIDA64 beta update: http://www.aida64.com/downloads/latesta64xebeta Please let us know how it works on your mobile devices Thanks, Fiery

Fiery
I have been trying for a while but all I get in the browser is a blank white screen.... Even if I try http://localhost First, try it with a different browser, not IE if possible If it doesn't help, then try to use a different TCP/IP port, like 8080. beeonline
Thanks for the quick reply Done that already. Tried with Chrome and Firefox, no luck. I've also tried various ports, but then I get the error message "This website is not available.". Whereas when I simply use the IP address on my mobile browser, or localhost on the host PC, all I get is some nice whiteness. OS is Win7 Enterprise - in case it's relevant. Sounds like it may be an issue related to your local (software) firewall, like Windows Firewall. In case your firewall software fails to pop up a warning message about AIDA64 trying to use the configured TCP/IP port for network traffic, you will need to add it manually to your firewall settings. beeonline
Thanks for the tips. In the end, it turned out that the web server didn't work on the default port (80) because Skype was running, which uses that port. On my PC, port 8080 was not free either, but now the AIDA64 web server works fine with port 8081.

It's a bit odd that something was using port 8080, but then again, so many background processes and services are running under Windows these days... beeonline
This is a cool feature... Looking forward to using gauges and graphs too. In the meantime:
Fiery
It looks great We've added graphs and gauges to both the Logitech Arx and Web Server LCD module in the latest beta release of AIDA64 Extreme available at: http://www.aida64.com/downloads/latesta64xebeta Note that the new gauges featured in these modules are called arc gauges. They do not have the same look & feel as the classic AIDA64 gauges (featured in the SensorPanel), but they offer much more flexibility. Fiery
Frequently Asked Questions about the RemoteSensor LCD feature: Q: Does it work on Amazon, Android, BlackBerry OS, Chrome OS, Firefox OS, iOS, MeeGo, Windows Phone, or Windows RT mobile devices? A: Yes, on all of them. Basically any device would work that has got a modern web browser. In case your web browser doesn't display the LCD layout properly, then try to find another, preferably more modern web browser. E.g. on Android v2.3 devices the built-in Android Browser fails to work, but Firefox will work fine. Q: Does it work with Internet Explorer? A: Yes, but only with IE 9.0 and later versions. Q: Is it possible to use it over the internet? A: It is designed to be used in a WiFi network, but it is also possible to use it over the internet. You have to take care of opening the relevant TCP/IP port on your router or firewall though, and if necessary, configure port forwarding too. It is not recommended to use it via a cellular data network (e.g. GPRS, EDGE, 3G, or LTE) connection though, due to the frequent network traffic. Q: Does RemoteSensor support multiple pages? A: RemoteSensor supports only one physical page, but you can use a larger page size than your actual mobile device display resolution, and use swipe scrolling to change between virtual pages. The way it works: let's say you've got a 980x1440 pixel resolution, as reported by the web browser of your mobile device. You configure 980x2880 as Preview Resolution in AIDA64, and you will basically have two pages on top of each other. You can use 980x5760 resolution to have 4 pages, etc.
Fiery
FYI, we've renamed the AIDA64 Web Server feature to RemoteSensor. You can still use your existing layout, you just have to look for a different LCD device in AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Hardware Monitoring / LCD. Fiery
You can download a sample RemoteSensor layout file from: http://download.aida64.com/resources/v500.rslcd You can import it in AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Hardware Monitoring / LCD / LCD Items, by pressing the Import button near the top-right corner of the Preferences panel. It was designed for the Safari web client resolution the iPhone 6 uses, but with slight adjustments it can be altered to be used on any other mobile device. It looks like this on an iPhone 6: After importing this layout, you can start fiddling around with various sensor items, and you can create your own custom LCD layout by using the well-known building blocks of the AIDA64 SensorPanel, such as sensor items with bars, images, graphs and gauges. We are already working on a video tutorial to show you how to build a LCD layout for your mobile device step-by-step, using RemoteSensor. When it's done, I'll post a link to this topic. 1
LKrieger
The dll is missing if i try to activate it. I couldnt find any information here where to find it? Greetings LK
Fiery
The RemoteSensor module doesn't use a DLL and wouldn't report about a missing DLL. Are you sure you've activated the RemoteSensor LCD support in the AIDA64 Preferences? Or maybe you're trying to activate the Logitech Arx Control module? mortillo
it is possible to use it via USB? Or since your PC ethernet card will use KB of data to update the smartphone, will that data not be counted on the net speed for example? Fiery
it is possible to use it via USB? Or since your PC ethernet card will use KB of data to update the smartphone, will that data not be counted on the net speed for example? It is possible to use it via USB, as long as your mobile device can access your main PC by the USB connection acting as an Ethernet interface. But in case you've got a WiFi network, your wireless local network traffic (which is used by RemoteSensor) will not be counted in your internet bill of course. Just make sure to use your local IP address, which is typically in the form of 192.168.x.y
mortillo
Nononono, ofc it wont affect the internet bill, just the NET speed counter, for example if i wanna know the NIC download speed or upload speed, will the data sent to the smartphone will be excluded on the counter or not? Fiery
Nononono, ofc it wont affect the internet bill, just the NET speed counter, for example if i wanna know the NIC download speed or upload speed, will the data sent to the smartphone will be excluded on the counter or not? If you use the same Ethernet connection for your internet access and your RemoteSensor access, then the counters will include both traffic of course. So for example, if you have a notebook, and you use the notebook's WiFi connection to connect to the internet via your WiFi router, and you use the same WiFi connection for RemoteSensor, then it will not be possible to separate the two different traffic types on your notebook. The counters will include both kind of traffic. But, unless you have a very complex LCD layout with a very fast update frequency (500 milliseconds), the RemoteSensor module will not consume that much network traffic. We've designed it to let you use it on cellular data networks as well, although obviously not for days or weeks constantly
