ANUBIS
I noticed new beta is up. Tried it and indeed, gauges are working now as intended, except one little thing: gauge's value is not in the middle of a gauge anymore, instead it is on top left corner. (It is showing middle when i click "modify" button and menu appears, but on lcd preview and on lcd itself gauge's value is located top left and is out of the gauges border)
Fiery
Thank you. Just like the previous time, the issue will be fixed in the next AIDA64 beta release due in a few days from now
ANUBIS
Just a thought - can you make it possible to move images on lcd into negative coordinates more than 5 pixels ? (for example horizontal lines, that i need to put from left side to a certain distance. I can make different length lines for different distances, but this is kind of annoying)
Fiery
What kind of negative pixel distance would you prefer to have? -50 pixels for example?
ANUBIS
For example when using image for horizontal line that is originally the same length as LCD's width, then the best case scenario would be to be able to move this line to almost all the way to the left side of LCD. That would eliminate the need to create multiple images for multiple line lengths. Same goes for moving images out of the screen to upside. (negative Y axis) Moving images outside the screen to positive coordinates is possible, ability to move them into negative coordinates too would make many things easier. (Like creating box to top left corner from two lines, that can be reused to create boxes of different sizes and different locations throughout the LCD. (except in the middle)) [sorry for my english, this is not my native language - if something is incorrect or not understandable, feel free to ask clarification]
Fiery
Yes, I understand the motivation behind using negative coordinates What I'm wondering is: what should be the absolute minimum for those values? X = -50 and Y = -50 would be enough? Or should it be more like -1000 pixels?
ANUBIS
Maybe - 800 pixels horizontally and - 480 vertically for Razer LCD ? Or is it easier to create negative values that are compatible with all LCDs - in that case maximum dimensions (in pixels) of largest density LCD that is supported would be ok. I guess more like -1000 pixels

ANUBIS
Thank you ! If only Micro$oft support was like this.
Fiery
Here's the new AIDA64 Extreme beta that implements the fix for the gauge label issue, and also supports down to -1000 pixel coordinates: http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild3211m4wrgf1cnuzip
ANUBIS
Thanks ! Just tried it and everything is working fine. If i notice something odd, i will let you know.

ANUBIS
I have an idea: how about support for animated gifs on LCD and OSD? (or sequence of images) On certain occasions this would be very illustrative - for example when some temperature rises too high, burning animation will start. (or whatever animated image someone wants to show on that or any other occasion. (blinking warning sign, electricity warning sign for voltage, some animation for download and upload etc. - possibilities are limitless)
Fiery
I like the idea of animations, but it's not really feasable to do that. AIDA64 supports over 50 different LCD devices, but only a few of them are capable of providing 30+ FPS update rate (which would be required to properly display animations). And even if you would push 30+ frames per second to the Razer or Logitech G19 LCD, it would put quite a pressure on the CPU to render that many frames a second. I'm not sure whether certain eye candy would worth so much CPU cycles and hassle BTW, AIDA64 has an Alerting facility that could warn you about excessive temperatures, a stopped cooling fan or voltage drops. ANUBIS
Ok. That is understandable. I suspected something like this. But... i have one more idea - profiles. I have had this idea for some time now, decided to share. Is it possible to create different profiles to different applications ? Or at least link designated *.exe files to different LCD pages ? (It would be like when i start some program - for example some benchmarking program - LCD jumps automatically to the page with necessary configuration (and back to previous page after program is closed))

ANUBIS
Hi ! I have one strange problem with Aida64. Every time i start my computer, Aida64 also starts. But there is about 70 % chance that after some time (less than minute) Aida 64 closes itself. Strange is this, that sometimes it is not closing. So what are the trigers that can close Aida64 ? But there is about 70 % chance that after some time (less than minute) Aida 64 closes itself. Strange is this, that sometimes it is not closing. So what are the trigers that can close Aida64 ? Hard to diagnose such issues remotely My best guess would be that the low-level hardware detection module of AIDA64 collides with another diagnostics, overclocking, tweaking, or monitoring software. Or, a wild guess: maybe your security software kills the AIDA64 process due to it making some "funny" things like talking directly to the hardware. ANUBIS
My security software is Avast Free Antivirus, only other software that is monitoring my system, is Asus AI Suite II.(Motherboard = Asus Sabertooth Z77) But AI Suite is only for fan speeds, monitoring is turned off under settings. And only other software that is using my Razer Deathstalker Ultimate, is Razer Synapse 2. Whether this iformation help to give a diagnosis ?
Fiery
Please note that AI Suite II, even when you don't use it (when you don't have any of its windows open), it is still using its background service to monitor and poll the motherboard sensors. Even after uninstalling AI Suite, it tends to leave its background service behind and active. Most likely the background service collides with AIDA64 low-level detection module. Note that AIDA64 detects and then caches a lot of hardware information at its startup, and it's crucial that no other software would collide with it when it starts up. Most other diagnostics, monitoring, overclocking and tweaking software (like AMD OverDrive, CoreTemp, CPU-Z, GPU-Z, HWiNFO, HWMonitor, MSI Afterburner, Rivatuner, SIV, SpeedFan) are synchronized with AIDA64 and each other, but Asus refuses to implement the necessary and standardized synchronization technique. If they would, such collisions would never occur with other software...
ANUBIS
Hmm, but what about that - Aida64 is not always closing after startup - sometimes it stays operational. Can it be the order of startup programs ? If so, should Aida64 start last ?
Fiery
The collision may or may not happen, since AI Suite background service does have a poll rate. If it is polling the sensors when AIDA64 launches, a collision would occur. If it is between two polls, AIDA64 will launch fine. And since AIDA64 is a process (application), but AI Suite background service is a NT service, there's no way to set their start order. Unless of course you delay AIDA64 launch by 30 or 60 seconds after the user logon.
ANUBIS
Thanks ! I will try to delay Aida64 start.
