  1. Yes, we've also noticed how Asus' own employees love to use AIDA64 for various purposes. It seems however that their software department go their own ways, refusing to properly team up with other software developers to assure multiple monitoring solutions can be used simultaneously. Just like before we're pushing hard to change that, but so far we had no success The most amazing thing in all that is that they're fully aware of the software collision issues, yet they refuse to change AI Suite in any ways to fix that...
  2. I agree. It's not Windows' fault, but it's a limitation of the hard disk firmwares
  3. Yes, we are. We're already in touch with Asus, although just like before in the past they seem to be reluctant to do their part to improve compatibility between Asus AI Suite and 3rd party hardware monitoring applications like AIDA64. Please check the following forum topic for a similar issue: http://forums.aida64.com/index.php?/topic/772-asus-rampage-iv-extreme/ Regards, Fiery
  4. Are you sure your motherboard is capable of measuring those voltages? Can you see those voltages on the Monitor page in the BIOS Setup?
  5. Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad it works fine now
  6. It is caused by the hardware monitoring module of AIDA64 that polls hard disk drives (and SSD drives as well) and reads their temperatures 3 times a minute. You can however adjust that polling frequency if you want. Go to AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Hardware Monitoring, and set "Disk temperature polling frequency" to for example 3600 seconds. That way AIDA64 will only wake your drives once an hour. Regards, Fiery
  7. I'm afraid AIDA64 cannot show such information. Regards, Fiery
  8. That's a neat layout
  9. The mentioned new AIDA64 beta is already out: http://www.aida64.co...38hv9qpgm5wzzip After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade.
  10. Yes, we're considering an Advanced button for the SensorPanel (and maybe for some other features as well) that would "unlock" several more options. I think it could be a good way to please everyone.
  11. Quickly rendering a needle that sweeps around with anti-aliasing (to make it look great) would be difficult and slow, so we've opted for a gauge design without a needle. Of course if the needle only had 10 or 20 states around, then it would be possible to make it work without the anti-alias hassle, but I don't think such a solution would be satisfactory for our users. It would be like an analog clock with a jumping hour hand that points exactly to whole hours for 60 minutes, and then jumps to the next hour without sweeping through. We may add a gauge design with a vertical needle that moves only left and right later on. Regards, Fiery
  12. I don't think so. AIDA64 relies on the Intel RST drivers, so only a driver change would have an effect on the RAID enumeration of AIDA64.
  13. 1) We've done test runs with a top-to-bottom shading on vertical bars, but it didn't look good, so we've dropped the idea. Please note that the shading is designed for bars, not LED-like small squares IMHO in your case the small green boxes would look better with the 3D effect turned off. 2) We've also done test runs to see how the bars look best, with continuous shading covering the background, or without it, and it looked best the way it is. If you edit your image by placing a flat lightgray square to replace the shaded background on the circled bar, you will see that it looks worse than how it looks now. However, if you are unsatisfied with the looks, you can disable 3D effect for that bar, or use a slightly darker background color. Please note that we don't want to overcomplicate the already quite complex SensorPanel object properties panel, so we're trying to simplify most settings. We could of course add several more settings for each property to make everything fully customizable, but then the whole thing would look like the dashboard of a Boeing 727 and would render itself unusable for less-experienced AIDA64 users
  14. Not easy to put such things dynamically on the already very complicated SensorPanel, but we'll work on it Thanks, Fiery
  15. Please upgrade to the latest beta version of AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at: http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild1938hv9qpgm5wzzip After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade. Let me know if it helps. Thanks, Fiery

  17. We've implemented SensorPanel graphs, gauges and 3D effect for the bars in the latest AIDA64 beta release available at: http://www.aida64.co...38hv9qpgm5wzzip A couple of thoughts on the new features: 1) We've tried to design the configuration panel for the new object types to make it easy for everyone to adjust various properties for the objects. We've squeezed everything into a single page this time, so we didn't bother adding labels or other properties. You can use the "Static Label" or the "Simple Sensor Item" objects to for example add captions to graphs. 2) Gauge icon is not yet implemented. 3) We've came up with 3 different, fixed diameter for gauges. Let us know if you think they should be different size, or whether there's a room for an even bigger or even smaller variant. 4) We may add more gauge designs, so feel free to send us suggestions on what sort of gauge you would like to see. 5) We've also implemented a "3D effect" checkbox for bars. We may add gradient bars and other fancy styles for bars later on. 6) The new SensorPanel features are also available in the Logitech LCD module. Please feel free to post your feedbacks here. Darkje: You can adjust the number of decimal digits for clock speed values in AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Hardware Monitoring Thanks, Fiery
  18. Please refer to the following forum topic for SST information: http://forums.aida64.com/index.php?/topic/481-stress-test-help/ Regards, Fiery
  19. All they need to alter is their software (AI Suite). AFAIK no BIOS modification is required to implement such Windows mutexes.
  20. That's one of the limitations of modal windows (alert window) and the lack of multi-threading in the hardware monitoring code. We may improve on that in the future. Regards, Fiery
