  1. Thank you for the feedback
  2. We've implemented the new RAID member enumeration option on the Stability page of the Preferences. Make sure to upgrade to the latest beta version of AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at: http://www.aida64.co...39s1y6ftjhwkzip After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade. Let me know if it helps to get around the slow startup issue. Thanks, Fiery
  3. Both of you, please upgrade to the latest beta version of AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at: http://www.aida64.co...39s1y6ftjhwkzip After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade. Then start it, go to the Sensor page, and check if it has the same latency issues. If it still has, then right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> HWMon Modules --> UPS. This will effectively disable UPS monitoring, so the relevant items (e.g. Battery Voltage) should then disappear from the Sensor page. Let me know if it fixes the latency issues or not. If you have time and like to test things out, you can try to disable other HWMon modules as well, one by one, to see which ones makes an impact on the latency. Let me know how it goes. Thanks, Fiery
  4. We've implemented the requested hardware monitoring item. Make sure to upgrade to the latest beta version of AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at: http://www.aida64.co...39s1y6ftjhwkzip After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade. Let me know how it works. Thanks, Fiery
  5. We've implemented the requested Video Memory Utilization hardware monitoring item. Make sure to upgrade to the latest beta version of AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at: http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild1839s1y6ftjhwkzip After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade. Let me know how it works. Thanks, Fiery
  6. Thank you. We've implemented the requested new hardware monitoring items, and added voltage monitoring for your UPS.
  7. RAID enumeration is necessary to find the member drives of a RAID array, and show individual information for all drives of the array. Thank you for the kind offer, but exactly because of the time synchronization issues, we prefer to do all testing in-house. I'm confident we'll find the bug eventually and fix it, we just need to play with various settings and various hardware a bit more to reproduce it.
  8. We'll release a new AIDA64 beta in a few days. It will feature a new stability option in the Preferences, so you can disable the RAID member enumeration to get around the slow startup. We would of course be happier if we could reproduce the slow startup and find a way to fix it up, but so far we couldn't find a single mobile or desktop system in our labs that would produce the issue Anyway, I'll post a message into this topic once the new AIDA64 update is available
  9. Currently those items not available for OSD Panel or SensorPanel. We'll work on that, and as soon as there's an update, we'll post it into this topic. Meanwhile, can you please right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> System Debug --> Battery Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic. We'd like to check whether more sensor readings may be available for your UPS that we should implement. Thanks, Fiery
  10. Thank you for the screen shot. We've tested it with Win8 CP, and it seems to be a bug in the gadget handling of Win8. Please note that Win8 is still in the beta stage, so unexpected issues can come up anywhere, anytime basically
  11. Thank you for the screen shots. We're working on a new built-in Options panel for the AIDA64 Sidebar Gadget where you could configure any colours you like (RGB). We'll post a message into this topic once a new AIDA64 update is available.
  12. Thank you for listing your issues. 1) High CPU usage may occur if you enable too many items. The SensorPanel on itself shouldn't consume considerably more CPU cycles than the Sidebar Gadget -- unless you have a very slow video adapter or old CPU. 2) The analog clock Sidebar gadget can still be used along with the SensorPanel. Noone said you cannot use the Sidebar _and_ SensorPanel altogether. You can even use the AIDA64 Sidebar Gadget together with SensorPanel if you want. 3) Transparency: I cannot argue with that 4) Graph is not available on both the AIDA64 Sidebar Gadget and the SensorPanel right now. So I don't see that as a negative point against the SensorPanel, since the Sidebar Gadget also hasn't got it. We're planning to add graphs to the SensorPanel soon. 5) Bars are not available on the AIDA64 Sidebar Gadget, so it's not a negative point against the SensorPanel again. Gradient bars are also on our roadmap 6) Transparency on mouse hovering is not easy to obtain with the SensorPanel, but we'll check if anything can be done about it. Regards, Fiery

    Sidebar

It's not possible right now. We'll check if it can be done. But as Dutch suggested, the SensorPanel feature is already there and offers way more customizations than the Sidebar Gadget. It takes more time to understand the whole thing and to make your SensorPanel to your liking, but IMHO it's worth the efforts
  14. Which version+build of AIDA64 are you running? We've recently revamped the Sidebar gadget, so it would be important to know if you're using the old or the new gadget Thanks, Fiery
  15. I'm not sure what you mean, but if you want to make the text fit, then you need to move the mouse cursor to the upper right corner of the gadget and press the zoom icon that appears. It will make the gadget wider. If it is still not wide enough to fit all labels, then you need to edit the labels in AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Hardware Monitoring / Vista Sidebar / Sidebar Items. Select any of the items in the list, and press the Configure button to edit the label. Regards, Fiery
  16. You're right about trusting NVAPI more. Too bad that interface is not available on all video adapters
  17. Used Video Memory and Free Video Memory are detected using NVAPI, the proprietary software interface for nVIDIA ForceWare video drivers. Hence that info is only available on GeForce video adapters. GPU Used Dedicated Memory and GPU Used Dynamic Memory are detected using D3DKMT calls, and so they are video adapter manufacturer independent. They represent the dedicated (on-board) memory usage, and the dynamic (off-board) memory usage. Dedicated memory is the amount of video memory allocated statically by the video adapter. It is mostly the video memory soldered on the video card PCB. Dynamic memory however may be dynamically allocated from the system memory, to expand the amount of video memory. Dynamic memory is also the UMA memory used by IGP and APU chips. Please note that D3DKMT is an unofficial and undocumented interface, and NVAPI is a properitary non-public interface. Due to the manner of those interfaces they are not documented, not explained by their inventor or designer, and so it's not easy to know anything 100% accurate and specific about the values they provide.
  18. First of all, please upgrade to the latest beta version of AIDA64 Extreme Edition available at: http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild1834ws9p7dqgnzzip After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade. Then, using the new beta, please copy-paste the full content of the Computer / Sensor page of AIDA64 into this topic. Thanks, Fiery
  19. Can you please explain your concerns or issues with the SensorPanel? We've designed it to act as a replacement to both the OSD Panel and Sidebar features, by offering more features and much better customizations.
  20. Thank you. It seems the slowdown occurs in Intel SATA/AHCI controller drivers, so the issue may not be related to AIDA64. If it's possible, please update to a newer Intel SATA/AHCI controller driver release, like v10.8 or v11.0.
  21. What we've changed in Build 1778 is that now AIDA64 initially displays its main window on the center of the primary monitor, and not the center of the Desktop. It's not easy to come up with such settings that are suitable for every multi-monitor scenarios of course
  22. Yes, that's the whole point of it It puts your system under heavy load to reveal any issues. Most hardware malfunction (and also themal issues) come up under heavy system load.
  23. Thank you for the feedback
