Thank you for the suggestion. We'll transition to Unicode next year, and it will solve a lot of issues, including the looks of the Preferences / Language page.

Your motherboard is already supported by the beta I've linked above. If you can see a difference between AIDA64 readings and what Asus' own software displays, then please create a screen shot to show us the issue. On the screen shot please make sure AIDA64 Computer / Sensor page and Asus' readings are both shown, side by side.

I'm sorry, but you are the first and only person who brought up those complaints. While you may have a point there, please understand that there is no perfect solution for most issues, due to technical limitations. E.g. AIDA64 is an ANSI software (non-Unicode), hence displaying native language names may be a problem if an incorrect ANSI codepage is used. For example, for Russian-speaking users usually the ANSI codepage for cyrillic character set is selected, and then their native language name is properly displayed -- for them the displaying of the native language name may come useful. We'll improve the way the temperature units are handled, although some of our users are already confused about the complexity of the SensorPanel item configuration panel. And adding one more option to the unit configuration will make it even more crowded... Why would that make sense? Just because you don't like the SensorPanel, it doesn't mean it's useless.

Thank you for the feedback. Please feel free to report any sort of issues you experience under Windows 8 while using AIDA64. We'll keep on improving compatibility in the upcoming beta releases.

Here's a new AIDA64 beta that fixes the slowdowns and lockups on Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors under Windows 8: http://www.aida64.com/downloads/aida64extremebuild1632tsd6mn9yzczip After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade. Let us know how it works on your system

You can hold down the Ctrl key and use left-click to select multiple items. You can then use the right-click menu --> Modify to modify multiple items at once. The item property to be changed for all selected items will be marked with a red stripe.
-
You need to right-click on the sensor item you wish to modify, select Modify from the context menu, go to the Value / Unit tab, and change the Unit value cca. in the middle of the window.

Some of the items on the G19 screen have a minimum update rate assigned, e.g. GPU clock. It is designed that way to prevent users putting too much stress on their system with too frequent update rate configured. E.g. when you have a SLI or CrossFire system, polling all GPUs once a second would mean too high CPU utilization or even deadlocks in rare cases.
-
Thank you. That issue will be fixed in the next AIDA64 beta due tomorrow.

With the Metro UI it's definitely something you have to get used to But if you deactivate that nonsense, then it looks and feels much like Windows 7. Except that it doesn't seem to be stable yet. Which is normal, since Win8 in its current state is not even beta yet...

It's not an AIDA64 bug fortunately That is a known peculiarity of Asus P6T boards. PC Probe II reconfigures the sensor chip to use a certain temperature offset to correct the temperature reading measured by the sensor chip. We prefer to display the real temperature that the sensor chip provides, without any weird offsets applied. Regards, Fiery

Thank you for the feedback. Asus uses a special CPU temperature register of the NCT6776F sensor chip on a few of their motherboards. Most hardware monitoring software don't even know that register exists

BTW, in a hope that we can replicate this issue, we've just tried to install Win8 on a Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3-iSSD system. The Win8 installer failed with a new-style BSoD stating "You can search for the error online: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED". This pre-beta Windows Developer Preview thing looks like it has a long way to mature We'll try to install it on another LGA1155 system.

Thank you. Is your SATA controller working in AHCI mode currently? Did you install a ForceWare driver?
-
Thanks Can you see at which point (while loading up) does AIDA64 freeze? Maybe while scanning PCI devices? Or while enumerating RAID devices?

Did it slow down at any place? If yes, then around which section, and what did it display on the status bar of the dump window?
-
SensorPanel is a bit different to the other hardware monitoring modules of AIDA64. After altering the Celsius/Fahrenheit option, you have to manually change the displayed unit text for each temperature SensorPanel item. Regards, Fiery

Please right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> ISA Sensor Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic. Thanks, Fiery
