Checki Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Hello Wanted to share my Panel for 8.8" screen (1920x480). Its my first try and i want to keep it as simple and clean as i can. I know i could add more info but for me those are the most important. Maybe i will add clock speeds and voltage as well, but thats the current state now. I still dont like the bars, i try to change them to custom but dont know how yet, working on it. What i really like is the yellow and red indicators on CPU + GPU (and Board as well) if the temp rises to a specific "warning" and "critical" level. So if there is no color, everything is fine. I think thats also a very clean and simple approach. What do you think? Its not done yet... but like 80% 4 Quote

I think thats also a very clean and simple approach. What do you think? Its not done yet... but like 80% Red background + dark blue text = not a good choice imo. Custom loading bars. There are various techniques. Depends on your graphic skill and software you use. https://www.canva.com/ Go to canva.com and create a new design (e.g., Custom Size 800x200 px). Search for "Progress Bar" or "Loading Bar" and select a template. Delete the pre-made bar and do the following: Draw a long, thin rectangle to serve as the background (gray). Draw 15 equally sized rectangles or circles next to it (leaving some space between them). Group them together. Duplicate the group several times to create different fill levels (0 to 15 filled). Colors: Empty = light gray; Filled = e.g., blue or green. https://inkscape.org/de/ Create a new document. Draw a long rectangle as a background strip. Using the Rectangle Tool, create 15 segments of equal width: Draw a rectangle → Press Ctrl + D to duplicate → Use the arrow keys to position them side by side. Select all 15 → Arrange → Align and Distribute → Distribute evenly. 4. Create a second row (or duplicate the same objects) for the filled version. 5. For different fill levels, simply duplicate the groups and the corresponding number of segments. Total beginner → Canva Want vector-based and scalable? → Inkscape Need many versions / animation? → Adobe After Effects 4 Quote
Checki Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Yes red and blue isn’t the best but normally you shouldn’t see the red color, at least in my setup thank you, yes I’m beginner and used canva and gimp. didn’t see the progress bar option in canva, will try this next time. but as you can see in the last post, I changed the bars already. but I also thought about bars in the style you showed here! I will leave it for a week and will tweak some things, but no time for this now. Quote

In a previous post I said I was going for a more "analog" look and feel, with indicators, 7 segment readouts, and mock LCD displays. So what I did that I thought was neat: - Light indicators that turn off in some instances (no CPU load, fans at slow (silent) speed, etc.) - Scaling 'LED' gauges for CPU clock and GPU FPS In my last update here, I have the historygram FPS up to 400 FPS and the scaling gauge up to 180 FPS. When the GPU is in standby (low power state), entire FPS gauge is dim showing all the colors. I think it has like 90 individual states for the gauge, so increments at 2FPS. Unlike the CPU where the scale just jumps, with games you can see is "slide" during game play. When the FPS is over 180 (more than any game really needs), the gauge is fully illuminated again, this time at the 2nd and third brightness just to make it stand out. I think from here, the only change I'll be making is removing the FSB readout in the CPU section. Too cramped. Love to hear thoughts on this, love it or hate it. Was going to try and upload my working files and export, but both too big (export file is 20Mb with all the graphics needed for the slider gauges). If anyone is interested in them, then I'll see about an alternative way to share. Display I'm using has a resolution of 1920X1280. Please Share Quote
