Is there a reading for the PSU fan? Corsair AX860i
Fiery replied to sblantipodi's topic in General Discussion
We've implemented support for Corsair Link sensor devices (including Link Commander, Commander Mini, H80, H80i, H100, H100i, H100i GT, H110i, H110i GT, and various Corsair Link capable PSU models) in the latest AIDA64 Extreme beta update available at: http://www.aida64.com/downloads/latesta64xebeta After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade. Please note that since Corsair's own Corsair Link software is not synchronized with any other monitoring software, it is very important to make sure it is closed, and also that its background service is not running. It's best if you completely uninstall the Corsair Link software. Due to the special precautions required to use the new Corsair Link feature of AIDA64, it is disabled by default. You have to go to AIDA64 / main menu / File / Preferences / Stability, and enable (check) Corsair Link sensor support to activate the new feature. Let us know how it works on your system. If you find any issues, please right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> Corsair Link Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic, or attach the results as a TXT file to your post. You may need to enable status bar in AIDA64 / main menu / View first. Also right-click on the bottom status bar of AIDA64 main window --> Sensor Debug --> USB PSU Dump. Copy-paste the full results into this topic, or attach the results as a TXT file to your post. -

Hardware Failure Detected after system stability test on overclocked CPU
Fiery replied to Jhed's topic in Bug reports
It's not possible to pinpoint exactly which component failed. But based on your system description, it may just be too overclocked. Your CPU may be stable at 4.8 or 4.7 GHz though -
Can you please check if the battery voltage is reported by the BIOS Setup? What value can you see there? Maybe what AIDA64 calls battery voltage is actually the +3.3V voltage rail or the 3VSB (+3.3V Standby) voltage rail coming from your PSU (Power Supply Unit) ? Thanks, Fiery

Functionality to identify all the devices in the same wireless network
Fiery replied to Partha's topic in Brainstorming
Maybe -
Right now AXi PSUs are only supported when they are connected to a Link Commander or Commander Mini unit. That's because AXi PSUs use a proprietary USB protocol that is very tough to handle. We've already started working on it, and I'll let you know how it goes in this topic.

Thank you for the feedback. The labels on the Sensor page cannot be edited. But, most enthusiasts find the Sensor page less useful anyway, due to the way the information is laid out there when there are many sensor devices. So they go for OSD Panel or SensorPanel, where you can adjust and tweak everything

BTW, we've tweaked a bit on the CFA-632 and CFA-634 LCD module of AIDA64. Please upgrade to the latest AIDA64 Extreme beta update available at: http://www.aida64.com/downloads/latesta64xebeta After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade. Let me know if it helps.

Blackscreens with Aida64 and R9 Fury in ULPS

Thank you for the info Do you know how to disable the boot screen to make a CFA634 work incorrectly with AIDA64? The problem is that our device has got a boot screen, and "sadly" it works with AIDA64 -- and so we cannot reproduce the issue on our CFA634 test unit.

Functionality to identify all the devices in the same wireless network
Fiery replied to Partha's topic in Brainstorming
It's a good idea, but I'm afraid we currently have no plans to develop a wireless network sniffer/watcher. Regards, Fiery -
IMHO these days it's not even all that useful to use the terms anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-malware and anti-trojan. It's much easier to just call them security software. Perhaps firewall makes the most sense of them all. Most AIDA64 users only focus on the Security / Anti-Virus and Security / Firewall pages anyway, and they're most interested in seeing their anti-virus software up-to-date there. So even though I can see your point, IMHO it's best to keep things as is. It would be very difficult to make things right, by moving all those pages into a single page, due to technical difficulties (see below). And if the revamping is not about moving everything to a single page, then it doesn't worth the efforts. As for technical difficulties: the biggest issue is that there's no generic API for security software. So it's not possible to simply enumerate all security software that may be installed on a PC, and see which ones are capable of which security features. It means you have to implement special code path for all security software products, one by one, and use special tricks to detect security software properties. And with most of those software it's not possible to detect which capabilities are supported by the software, e.g. if it is an anti-spyware or anti-trojan capable product, or "just an anti-virus" software. What you can see in AIDA64 is the best we can do about this, until one day Microsoft comes up with a generic API for security software...
